"We arrived at the Westin Book Cadillac Detriot VERY late. We left our previous desitation late, ran into traffic, and just all in all - were very behind schedule. We travelled as a family of 4 (2 adults, 2 children ages 7 & 9). We got to the hotel around 11:30pm. The valet was very friendly - but when we asked for a luggage cart, they had to go get security to unlock them, as they are kept under lock and key at all times. Our valet told my husband that he could not help with the luggage, but that he "had my husband's back) to ensure he could safely unload our luggage. When we entered the hotel, we tried to find a restroom before checking in, as we had been in the car for many hours and my 7 year old needed to go. Restrooms on the main floor - yes. But locked after 11pm. Registration is located on the second floor. Our check-in process was very quick and the staff were very friendly and helpful. The room was very clean and comfortable. The next day - we learned that there was a large party happening at our hotel. When we came back to the hotel after dinner, we had to wait in a long line to check our car into the Valet. Then we had to wait in line to get into the hotel, as the partying was starting. The entire party took up the first floor, all of the "lobby" space near registration and the elevators. We couldn't go down to the swimming pool without walking through this party. Very disappointing for my children, as we were confined to our room for the rest of the evening."
