Herbst's Hideaway on Seneca Lake

  • Nestled on a secluded drive in the heart of the Seneca Lake wine trail is our lake home we call Herbst's Hideaway. Relax in this air conditioned 2300 sq ft home which is literally 10 ft from incredible level lakeshore. The panoramic view is breathtaking. We also have a 100 ft dock leading to a large platform that will allow you to soak up the sun, swim and relax to your heart's content. Use the paddleboat, 2 tandem kayaks, 1 single kayak or 1 kids kayak to row to the swim raft. Enjoy the four private king size bedrooms (two with bathrooms) and keep the kids together on the 2 sets of bunkbeds.

We visit the FLX quite often and this property was the best we ever rented for 4 couples. We loved how spacious the house was and every imaginable amenity for an ultra comfortable stay was at our fingertips. Matt was super easy to communicate with and eager to make our stay enjoyable. We normally prefer to stay on the east side of Seneca, but this home will definitely bring us back to the Penn Yan area.

Another Fantastic Stay!

Another amazing stay at Herbst Hideaway! My family, friends and I enjoyed the beautiful sunrises, hanging out on the dock, kayaking and the close proximity to the wineries and breweries. I was impressed with our stay at Herbst’s Hidaway. The house was spacious and clean. The kitchen was full loaded with all that you would need. Girls Weekend

Had a great long weekend with a group of my friends at Herbst Hideaway! Although the weather did not turn out as we were hoping for, we had a great time staying at this property. Beautiful view, very clean and well stocked with everything you needed. Beds were extremely comfortable. Matt answered any questions we had right away. LOVE THE LAKE LIFE!This was our 2nd year staying at Matt & Julia’s home and our family had a fantastic week! Besides the fabulous view of the lake, the home is extremely clean and well equipped both inside and out. There were plenty of kayaks for adults and even some for the children. Their comfortable home accommodated our family of 6 adults and 4 granddaughters perfectly with plenty of sleeping options and lots of space to hang out together. This is also by far the cleanest rental we have ever stayed at. We've already booked for next year's family memories!

Exceptional Stay: A Perfect Blend of Comfort, Convenience, and Surprises

Had a fantastic week. The house was excellent. Super clean and fully stocked with all amenities. The integrated sound system was a huge hit - and completely unexpected. Location mid-lake was ideal to explore breweries and wineries north and south. How cool are the Adirondack chairs on the dock with the wine glass holders!
