Our family had a wonderful time in the Finger Lakes, and this house was the perfect home base for us! It was clean, spacious and ideally located. We especially loved the private dock/beach and the view from the deck. We are looking forward to returning next year!

Exceptional!
We had a wonderful time! The house was beautiful and very clean. The view of the lake is amazing and along with the decor, invites you to relax! Vacasa made the overall experience from making our reservations to checking out so easy and the communication during our stay was appreciated!
The area of Penn Yan is breathtaking! We would highly recommend this property!!

Beautiful QKA spot
This is our second time staying at the QKA View house. The size and layout work great for our group of 8 (and a few other daytime visitors). The kitchen is extremely well equipped (but not drip coffee maker), the living spaces are very comfortable, all the rooms were clean and the views are beautiful. There are a lot of stairs to get to the dock, but that is common on the finger lakes. The house is located close to many wineries and breweries - all with amazing views. We would definitely stay again.
We loved the large trees and flowers out front. There was just enough shade to sit on decks on hot days and enjoy the view. The kids even caught a few fish from the dock.
The setting was perfect. The flowers in front and the trees in the back made sitting outside pleasant, even on hot days. The house was nicely furnished and we had everything we needed.
The cottage was perfect for what we needed. We had a wedding at the lake. The cottage was clean and comfortable and the location was perfect for us. Thanks Nancy
All six of us former college roommates were very pleased with this property. Loved the setup of the place. Very spacious with places we could all gather at once. Convenient to Penn Yan and many wonderful wineries. Definitely would return here.
The lake house was somewhat .However, it needs a great deal of updates. Furniture was dirty, some lights weren't working, dock has a cracked panel. It needs to be fixed, We won't rent again for many of those reasons.

Liked: Check-in, communication, location
Nice, but could be updated and maintained
The location and view are great. The lay out is nice and the decks were enjoyable. On the downside, the place needs a deep cleaning, made the mistake of looking under the master bedroom bed and was surprised to see an accumulation of dust and things from previous guests. There were three water glasses in house to sleep 8-12 people. Could not turn the light on in the dining room. A lot of little things.
The property manager and owners were very responsive and fixed things as they came up but after the second time we just decided to make the best of it.

Liked: Cleanliness
Cottage condition
Overall, okay, but some qualifiers. Hot water temperature was very erratic, cold, then warm, then cold, then warm.
Heating did not work in master bedroom. Window sash was missing in one window - only partially covered with piece of cardboard. No screens on main windows in living room and those areas were quite dirty. Not quite what we expected from the pictures, but overall, okay.

Good week
Loved the space. Loved the view. House was clean, comfortable, and well equipped.
Great place for family, with plenty of room for everyone inside and out: Right on the lake with a great deck and views from the living room. Other than the property being outdated as compared to many rentals, we were impressed with a clean property in proximity to everything the region offers!
My family came together after being apart for over 10 years away from NY Keuka Lake. We loved the area- branchport has a wonderful souvenir shop, grocery, leather goods and large hardware store within 5 minutes where we were staying
Penn yan was 6 miles and had a large grocery store, farmers market and pharmacy if needed.
The area is still quaint and not populated with fast food places and truly country style living.
Our family grew up around the lake and it was wonderful to be back and continue to enjoy its uniqueness
Of course, the lake is crystal clear and absolutely beautiful. There were not too many boats on the lake and it was nice and calm.

Perfect view
We really enjoyed our stay here. There was enough room for everyone and the place was clean. Check in was a breeze. The only drawbacks were not enough seating in the living room but other than that we would absolutely come back!
Property is a bit dated but otherwise nice. Great to be on the lake. Good place if you have pets. Good value for the price.

QKA View - 7/31/21 to 8/7/21
My family (5 Adults and 4 Children, ages 13,10,8,1) were generally comfortable with the accommodations. The house was clean, but certainly could use some updating. The beds, with the exception of one, were adequate. The dining room table was a bit small for a group of 9, but we were able to manage mealtime, albeit somewhat confined. Parking was more than adequate with the 3 cars we had having easy access to enter and leave as needed.
This was our fourth time staying on the lake and the first time on the bluff side. We truly enjoyed the sunrise as we are early risers. The view from the upper porch provided a great view of the lake. The tradeoff for that view were the 45 stairs (which was clearly disclosed in the listing) that were required to get down from the house to lake side.
A few items that we encountered that if addressed would have improved the overall experience are as follows:
• Many of the windows lacked screens and therefore opening the windows to allow the fresh lake air in was not an option.
• The sink and shower drains ran very slowly resulting in water remaining in the basins for a period of time as it slowly drained.
• The dock is in need of repair as there are areas where the boards are rotted and weak and the transition from the shore to the dock presents a tripping hazard.
• The temperature in the lower portion (basement) area of the house could not be regulated and it seemed that the air conditioning was running constantly leaving that area very cold.
• The listing indicated that a firepit was on the property but none could be found.
• The bed, in the smallest bedroom on the first floor, provided no support and could not be used by even the younger children.
