"Terrific stay. Heat was a bit of an issue initially but we figured it out. The space heater in the lower bedroom helped a lot. The shower in the lower level was fantastic (huge) Wished the shower head in the upper bathroom was higher on the wall as I had to stoop a bit. Very clean and well stocked with amenities including a welcome gift. Had to search for an extra blanket for beds as the temp outside was cooler than usual for the end of April. I assume I could have received another one if needed at the reception area. Very reasonable cost for the amount of room and comfort."

"I'm not sure how this hotel gets such high marks. The room was beyond tired. There was urine and toilet paper in the toilet when we checked in. The bed and frames were awful and downright dangerous (see photos). There was crud hanging from the ceiling by HVAC split unit (again, see photos). The shower was moldy and disgusting . I would like to say that they were really busy, but as far as we could tell, we were one of only two guests checking in on this winterid-week night. To add insult to injury, when we reserved, we were charged for an additional person (we were only 2 people ) in a room with 2 queen beds! PS. For some reason the photos don't seem to be loading! We'll see. "

"Our 3-night stay at The Stone House was perfect! The property is stunning, and the house is very cute, homey and had all the amenities, even ones I wasn’t expecting, like make up removers in the bathroom and little scissors in case you needed them. We didn’t spend a lot of time outside as it was low 50’s, but I wish I could have enjoyed the backyard more, it is really beautiful. They have a great fire pit and lots of wood. The heating inside was a bit inconsistent, so I would have to turn up the thermostat and then down several times a day, but it was minor, they had lots of blankets to keep us warm. The beds were very comfortable too. One of the queen beds is on wheels on a hardwood floor, so you need to be careful about that . I definitely recommend staying at The Stone House! "

"Beautifully designed spaces for large group gatherings! We are a group nine women who get together annually for a few days. The huge kitchen island, large dining table, and open living room worked perfectly for us, as did the multiple bedrooms and bathrooms. So why only 3 stars? We paid 4,000 for three nights so our expectations were high that this new home would be near perfect. Here is what we experienced: Two of the bathroom sinks were so clogged with hair that they were unusable. One women had to clean out big gobs of hair so that the sink would drain. One toilet seat was so loose that every time you sat on it, you hit the cold porcelain base. A bathroom door handle was so loose it threatened to fall off. We couldn't get the TV to work properly and there were no instructions for how to manage the TV. The second day it was determined that the batteries in the remote control needed to be changed. The lock on the back exterior door did not work so we had to leave the home unlocked while we weren't there. The house instructions tell you not to move the furniture. However, after two women tripped on the curled edge of the living room rug we moved the sofa over the rug's edge to prevent anyone from falling. (The sofa was moved back to the wall before we left.) We also moved the slippery bathroom rugs to prevent falling. These are clearly safety hazards! If you rent this, you may want to bring a tool box with you!"
