"Check in was extremely fast and easy. Loved the location, water across the way and Cowichan Bay market. They were in the process of renovating the property but it had no effect on our stay. We booked the King suite, newly renovated, and loved the size and amenities. Full fridge, hot plate, fully supplied kitchen, a living room area with 4 chairs, and small balcony with 2 chairs. I would definitely book there again."

"This Days Inn is so close to the airport that the free shuttle had us there in under ten minutes. The staff are exceptionally pleasant, helpful, and thoughtful."

"We stayed at the resort for two nights as a surprise gift to my wife on her 65th birthday. I choose a superior room with a hot tub on the balcony. The suite was well appointed and lovely by design. The spa was first-rate. Expedia gave us a food credit for dining, which leads me to our major disappointment with the Brentwood Bay Resort. In all of its marketing materials, the resort claims to be world-class. However, for both of our nights the fine dining room was closed for dinner. What? We only learned this when we arrived. No notice had been sent to us in advance, and the in-room binder states the Arbutus Dining Room was open seven days a week. Apparently this was the first time this year the dining room was to be closed on Mondays and Tuesdays. We were told the pub was still open. But frankly, the fine dining room was a key factor in my decision to go to the Brentwood Bay Resort, and had I known the only option was the pub, I would have cancelled my reservation. If the resort is losing money in the dining room on slow nights, then might I suggest a smaller, set menu? This would cut costs in both supplies and staffing. You simply cannot claim to be a high end resort and only offer pub food to your guests. We ate one meal in the dining room which was open for breakfast. And here is a tiny example of how this resort has lost the plot. We asked for two hard-boiled eggs and were told by the wait staff we couldn't get them. How odd is that? World class you say. Hmm."

"The location itself was the draw to this resort, and it was worth the effort to get there. We found the area to be very relaxing and tranquil. There was only one night with some excessive noise by a neighboring cottage. Otherwise, it felt like we were there alone for most of the time we spent at the resort. The cottage had plenty of space both inside and outside. Got plenty of use of the hot tub. I will say the interior was somewhat dated and there were many stains on the carpet and even the ceiling from what looked like prior water leaks. I think some updates would go a long way. Everything did work and those things didn't detract from the stay."
