9.0 out of 10, Wonderful, (33 reviews)
"We stayed one night at the Hotel Pommernland having flown in to the nearby Anklam airfield. As it was the Ascention weekend there were no taxis available so the hotel manager Eric kindly gave us a lift into town to a greek restaurant. Hotel was clean and tidy and the rooms were absolutely fine. My only criticism is that there was only 1 feather pillow supplied which was way too soft, my head sunk straight through it. Breakfast was OK."

Frequently asked questions

What is the best area to stay in Pelsin?
The best area to stay in Pelsin is within the village centre itself or the immediate surrounding countryside for those seeking a tranquil retreat.

Pelsin is a small, quiet village in Mecklenburg, Germany, known for its rural setting and proximity to natural landscapes. The village centre is compact, featuring a historic church and traditional Mecklenburg architecture. It's an ideal base for exploring the surrounding lakes and forests.

Couples looking for a peaceful escape will find the village centre appealing. You're close to walking and cycling paths, and there are a few local eateries that offer regional cuisine. It's a lovely spot for unwinding and enjoying the slow pace of rural life.

For families, staying in the countryside just outside the village offers more space and direct access to nature. Many guesthouses and holiday homes in this area provide ample gardens and are superb for children to play.
When is the best time to go to Pelsin?
The best time to visit Pelsin is during the late spring (May-June) and early autumn (September-October) months.

During these periods, the weather is generally mild and pleasant, with comfortable temperatures ideal for outdoor activities like exploring the surrounding Mecklenburg countryside or visiting the nearby Stettin Lagoon. You'll find fewer crowds compared to the peak summer months, allowing for a more relaxed and authentic experience. The natural beauty of the region, especially the forests and lakes, is particularly appealing with the fresh greenery of spring or the rich colours of autumn.

For those interested in water-based activities or enjoying the lakes and the Baltic Sea coast, the summer months (July-August) are also a good option, though you can expect more visitors.
