"Nice clean room and very comfy bed. Had a skylight rather than a window so no view but great black-out blind. Shame about the miniature sink though, bad design! Nice to have a continental brekkie included. Very convenient for the station and town. Do try Coulls fish'n'chips, delicious, thanks for recommendation."

"We both loved the location. The property was clean and well equipped for our stay. Lovely spacious rooms. We would use again. There was a damp smell in the property, and a sewerage smell when the back door was open into the kitchen!!. We still had a great stay within the grounds of the estate. And I'm sure Liz the host will look into anything I've mentioned, to improve it for her next guests"

"We stayed here as a couple and it was perfect for a long stay - easy to access, tranquil surroundings (the road is not busy) and comfortable furnishings. The host was friendly and we enjoyed the welcome pack. Apart from very occasional comings and goings of cars along the drive, it feels quite secluded. It is not a modern house but everything worked fine. The garden is spacious with plenty of shade as well as sunny spots. It’s about 15 minutes to get to Berwick, along a pleasantly twisty country road. Unfortunately you do have to drive to get everywhere, but that’s the only negative."

"On line book in. Which worked. A breakfast hamper continental style which worked well. Room had everything needed for a two day stay. Its a downhill slope walk of 14 minutes from Railway station and a bit longer going back. Local buses close. Plenty of local cafes and fish and chip shops handy. Location very good for walking the town walls. The absence of staff seen did not distract from what was a pleasent stay.I would use the hotel again if visiting the area."

"Excellent property for a family holiday! Perfectly peaceful with large garden for children's play and a well equipped playground nearby.Plenty to see and do with all of the places and attractions that we visited being within a 50 mile radius, max. Most of our visits were only 10 to 15 minutes away.Excellent choice of both takeaway food and pub food within short distance, plus a good choice of supermarkets in Berwick (10 minutes drive) and an excellent choice of artisan foods at the numerous farm shops dotted around the area."
