"Alas, this property has seen better days. It’s not horrible, or even unbearable, but bare bones. AC was adequate for sleep but not for siesta. Beach is not inviting. Nearby bars were ok for food. We left a day early. "

"Clean basic room. Nothing fancy but fit the bill. Has A/C. Bring your own shampoo! Nicest looking hotel in the Paso de Canoas area. A little off the main road but a short taxi ride or walk from bus station. Lovely grounds, pretty pool area, nice restaurant on site. Breakfast included. "

"Everything was wonderful. The room was beautiful and extremely comfortable. The staff was great. Extremely attentive and friendly. It was our 56th wedding anniversary and they sent a nice chachuterie board to our room. Every evening the maid came by with a sweet treat for each room. The property is very nice and right on the bay. Very relaxing atmosphere . I would definitely consider returning to the Amaka Lodge "

"The unit was a very nice place to stay. The hostess was very friendly and helpful. I would recommend if possible, to have lighting over the dining table. It was rather dark to read or eat at the table. I also had difficulty finding the unit using the map on your website. "
