"We came up for the eclipse extended weekend and were pleasantly pleased with how friendly and thoughtful our host was. She took the time to show us around and made sure we had everything we wanted. The house was very clean and as advertised (actually it was better than pics!). We arrived Saturday evening and the host was very attentive, friendly and welcoming. They left us 2 pair of eclipse glasses, bottle of wine and plenty of kitchen/bathroom amenities. The pellet stove was simply fantastic!...

"This was our second stay at this magical property! We were there for a long weekend with adult kids and one high schooler. Everyone had had a bit of a stressful Fall and the home in its gorgeous was the cure for what ailed us. Gorgeous, super fun, creatively designed house with some of the best views I've seen anywhere, even on gray days. Convenient to lots of great hiking and mountain biking as well as kayaking/canoeing and (for the hardier souls) swimming. Highly recommend!"

"Our family gathered here for the 2024 solar eclipse and could not have asked for a better place. The property is quiet, well-maintained, clean, and beautiful. The property owner is responsive and helpful. We lucked out with great weather: sunny and clear views of Katahdin, with ice still on the lake and piles of snow from a spring snowstorm. This property would have been great with any weather. Cannot recommend highly enough"

"The home had most everything that we needed. Loved the location on the lake and the proximity to Baxter State Park and Millinocket! It was quite comfortable. The window blinds need to be replaced so that they are easier to raise and lower, but that is minor. Note that the cold and hot water controls in the lower level shower are reversed."

"Beautiful home with all the amenities you need to visit this area. Parking is an issue with a group people as you share a driveway with the neighbor. Definitely not a snowmobile destination if you want to access trails from where you stay."

"The pictures don't do this property justice, it is much better than you expect. Plenty of room for a few families. So clean and very well stocked kitchen! We came during snow and ice still on the lake, but I can imagine what a perfect place for the summer too. Loved how friendly everyone is in the area. It's a long drive or we would definitely plan to be back. Thank you!"

"This was the best lakehouse my family has ever stayed at. It was quiet, comfortable, there was a dock to swim off, a raft to swim to, it was private, it hit all the best amenities of staying at a lake. My kids want to live there now (9 and 11 years old). It was really clean, had everything (I mean everything) you need to stay there. We ended up staying an extra night. The communication was very good. Everything was made easy for us. It's close to a few small grocery stores and pizza...

"Cute, “work in progress” old farm house. We enjoyed our stay. The owner was extremely responsive and got back to us right away if we had any questions. The only reason I couldn’t give this a five star review is cleanliness. It seemed like maybe the bathroom had just gotten skipped over by the housekeeper? The bedrooms were fine but the bathroom had a dirty toilet and shower. Otherwise it was great."

"Convenient location close to shin pond village. Small building probably best suited for small parties. Worked out well for me and my hunting dog, I'd stay there again."
