"This was one of the best hotels I have ever stayed at. Firstly the location is one of a kind with direct close view of the Taj. Second the hotel is magnificent. Lastly, they take the idea of service to a whole different level. My son said that he wanted to record a guitar song on social media - later our personal concierge, unbidden, brought him a capo and guitar strings. Finally they insisted that we tag them so they could post on their site. Wow."
"This is definitely not a 4-star hotel. it’s more like a 1 or 2-star property. My wife did not feel safe during our entire stay, and I’m honestly glad we only stayed one night. The whole hotel needs major renovations. Pictures look nice but don’t be fooled!! This is similar in price to other actual 4-5 stars in the area. Do not stay here if you’re looking for nice and or safe.
The staff at the front desk also tried to overcharge us for Taj Mahal tickets by asking to buy 3 tickets when we needed only 2 and get an extra fees of 50 rupees per ticket on top of the regular price, which felt very dishonest.
The breakfast was disappointing as well. If we had arrived in Agra earlier, I would have left and booked another hotel, even if it meant losing the money for this stay.
The current rating of this hotel feels very misleading. For another $20 USD, you can stay at a much better hotel like a Holiday Inn, and this property is nowhere near that standard. Sorry, but I cannot recommend this place."
"An excellent hotel. Very very clean and well maintained. The staff were the most helpful and attentive of anywhere we have stayed. The breakfast and evening food was excellent. Good choice of drinks and cocktails in the bar. Room was of a very high standard. Good Aircon and comfy bed. Shower was very powerful. Nice and quiet location. We had a garden room on the 1 st floor. There was no elevator. Well we couldn’t find it. The pool was lovely. Would def book a trident hotel again. It is better than the pictures."
