"Resort focused on locals. Some staff don’t even speak English. Rooms are dated with broken furniture. Bathroom with faulty toilets and gunk in the shower glass. Food s not bad but repetitive and boring. Specialty restaurants food is mediocre with premium to visit tepanyaky and steak. Pool music is based on small groups that bring their own boombox and it becomes very noise and annoying. Beach is rough with a step made which can be dangerous for kids specially. We rented a vehicle to go visit sites around. The rental comes with surprise extra insurance to be paid at the time you pick up your car, and cannot be avoided according to local laws. Overall, for comfort, and pleasure it disappoints. If you’re one of those that can make the best decision f anyplace without being too fancy, go for it."
"This was the first time that I have stayed in a treehouse! It was a cool experience. The cabaña gives the feeling of being in the jungle, and there are noisy bugs. One thing to note is that it is a lot like glamping—you’re inside, but kind of still outside. From the website photos I was confused about where the kitchen was, and it turned out that the kitchen is basically just a sink and a small gas stove on the back porch, with a microwave and refrigerator inside. Please note that the electricity sometimes goes out, as it did for us, but the house is equipped with a few lights for that emergency. This actually added to the experience, as it was even a little more remote feeling. The host is extremely communicative so he won’t leave a question unanswered. There is a very narrow bridge to drive on to get there—pull in your mirrors!"
5-bedroom Beachfront Condo with Ocean View & WiFi – Walk to the Sand!
10/10 Excellent
"Now this is beach living. First, our Host was fantastic. When we arrived we didn't have an iron and ironing board, no hangers and a piece of the coffee maker was missing. She was there in no time with all of that brand new stuff. She also left us a nice bottle of wine and some chocolates. The place was gorgeous with clean sheets and towels, nice furniture, working Hot Water, Televisions in every room, ceiling fans throughout, really functional kitchen (with cleaning products, microwave, air fryer, quality pots and pans) and grounds/views to die for. The only let down was that we could not access the Lagoon which we understand is reserved for owners and not short-timers like us. Nevertheless, we had a ball at the Property, from the Town Center stores and restaurant to the pools (each building has its own) and the beach. Security is tight to get onto the property and then to get into your building the first time. Thereafter the Staff knows you and are very engaging and helpful. We didn't make it to the resort but understand they have day passes and lovely accomodations. There are stores and shops also right off the site, which was useful when getting groceries. Health care isnt far off (not much right there on site) but in nearby Coronado. Overall we would love to come back and stay longer. The beach was nice and wide allowing for horses and ATV use. Although mostly Canadians at Playa Blanca many others visited as well."
