"Everything about the hotel stay was great, except the mattress. It wasn't horrible, but it was too firm and caused me to toss and turn. Some people may enjoy that level of firmness. This is my personal preference. The staff was great. Breakfast was good. The hotel was very clean and well-appointed. Reservations, check-in, and check-out were very easy"

The room was quiet, even though we were reasonably close to the interstate and there were a lot of people on the property. I will return to this property in the future."

"We really enjoyed our stay and will plan a return. The owners are great and even treated us to a boat ride around the lake to view other properties and get some details about the history. Beautiful sunsets are easily viewed from the backyard, pool and dock. Our teenagers really enjoyed getting out on the lake with the kayaks most days and of course relaxing in and around the pool area. Inside, we enjoyed a full kitchen with most everything you would need. The pool table was a nice touch for added family time when the weather doesn't cooperate with plans."

"Everything was great except the beds were really high on top of these metal boxes and when you got down from them you would often hit the box with your feet making a loud banging noise (like a gong). We first heard the noise from outside our room and then discovered what it was when we got out of bed."

"The neighborhood is very quiet and well-maintained. We enjoyed the nearby Beech Lake recreation area. In town, they have chain restaurants but if you get out of town a bit you can find the mom&pop restaurants. The in-ground pool was a highlight for us on this listing."
