Heart of Amish Country - Paradise Cottage

Our newly renovated Heart of Amish Country Paradise Cottage is located in central Lancaster County just a short drive from the most popular Lancaster attractions. You can hear the Strasburg Railroad trains in the valley below!
We're located just 10 min. from the Sight & Sound Theater, Strasburg Rail Road & Kitchen Kettle Village in Intercourse, 13 min. from Dutch Wonderland & the village of Bird in Hand. Enjoy watching the Amish buggies roll by this cozy quiet getaway.

The cottage has 3 bedrooms (2 queen beds & 1 double bed) and 2 full bathrooms, including an ensuite bathroom for the master bedroom. Guests have a private lodging with private entrance. The owner lives in the lower level (semi-basement) of the house. She will be available if needed, but otherwise will respect the privacy of her guests.
2025 - our lodging now features a newly installed Kinetico water sytem.

Heart of Amish Country

A wonderful and comfortable home. The picture window gave us views of the beautiful horse and buggies passing by. The location was perfect for our visit to Sight & Sound Theatre as well as to to wolf sanctuary and trip into the town of Lititz and dinner on the train. So much to do and enjoy.

Great place to stay!

My friends and I stayed here for one night while visiting a friend in the area. The location is great as it is close to many small towns with things to do and places to see. The house was exceptionally clean, organized, and well stocked. Parking was a little "tricky" as the house sits close to the road on a hillside, but there was plenty of room to park our SUV and take our luggage in and out of the house. I would highly recommend this home for your next vacation or get-away.

Slice of Paradise in Paradise!

What an incredibly lovely place with so many comfortable furnishings and special treats. Listen for the clip clop of the Amish buggies that frequent the road just outside the front door or watch the serene beauty of the sunrise on the back porch. Close to the city but far enough away to enjoy the countryside. I would have stayed longer if it was possible and will definitely look forward to going back.

Very good communication with the owner. Great perks..coffee, fresh bakery sweet rolls and candy jar! Best goodies that have ever been supplied in a rental house. Super clean. On a fairly busy road but was fine if carful.

This was one of the best VRBO places I've ever been in. Immaculately clean, exactly as the pictures. No crazy rules, just the normal ones, there was parking right there. My only thing I thought about was, if you were going to stay a week or more, there isn't laundry facilities. That was it. The bathrooms were updated, very nice kitchen, all the amenities. Good linens, I was very very satisified.

Just what we needed

My family is working through a health crisis with one of my siblings. We traveled from NY to PA for one night on a holiday (totally blessed by this scheduling flexibility) to visit Longwood Gardens and Sight and Sound.
