Loved the decor! Very modern yet tasteful! Two cozy electric fireplaces. Everything you needed to stay for as long as you like (except creamer for coffee.) We enjoyed our stay and wished we had booked it for more than one night.

Simple and clean, but the idea that this sleeps 4 is really pushing it. There was only 2 of us, so it was ok, but the “couch” is a cubicle type couch that opens in to what can roughly be called a double bed. There were no sheets for it, but the owner did respond right away and brought one flat sheet. He told us fitted sheets don’t fit the couch. It’s a decent place, but we stayed in 3 other places for much less that were much better. This is not worth what they charge a night.

Property was decent and comfortable. The layout worked and added separation for two sleeping areas. The decor gave off a modern vibe. There was a lack of attention to the details though, leaving things looking unfinished. For example, the ice maker didn't make ice and there wasn't an alternative ice tray to make ice, one of the electrical outlet in the kitchen didn't work, and other small things.

Cool funky vibe, roomy, nice amenities, walking distance to hiking trails (bring your bug spray and net this time of year) that go on for miles, slept to the sound of the elusive whip-poor-will call and woke up to the meep of the woodcock. My kind of place. Thanks Jason!

Perfect for home base when exploring the area

Its not a bad place but needs finishing in a few areas. The fireplace remotes didnt work, but during our stay didnt really need it. Check in was easy, area is quite. We had a blast checking out everything the area had to offer and this place made it easy to get some rest for the next adventure.

Heat was off when we arrived, took hours to heat up with electric wall heaters. Bathroom needs attention with mold and trim work around the shower. Super convenient spot for snowmobiling. Overall ok but just needs maintenance kept up.

Black Pearl in Paradise

Very nice property that hit all our needs for a Fourth of July holiday. Wish we had more time to chill at the property. This place was all set up for meal prep with spices, oils, condiments and excellent equipment. Even a fire pit and grill!

This is a basic but functional unit, with a fridge/stove/dishwasher/outdoor grill, and cooking/eating basics. We stayed for one night. The location is excellent if your destination is Taquamenon Falls or the Whitefish Bay area. We especially liked the ease of self check-in as well as the fire pit and chairs in the back. We would have liked a sliding screen door for the back door-wall (in addition to the sliding glass door) so that we could leave both front windows (which have screens) and the rear door-wall open for better air circulation (as the unit has no A/C). We would stay again.

Adventure Paradise

We had a blast up in Paradise. The Black Pearl is centrally located to ORV Trails, Tahquamenon Falls, White Fish Point, Crisp Point and various other adventures. It was nice to arrive to a clean and neat place that provided all the amenities you may need. The BP also had a fire pit with chairs for those s’mores. Right down the road was an awesome Breakfast place and there was another great dinner spot in town. If you are looking for a nice place to lay your head after your adventures, this is the place to book. Lastly, the Owners were extremely communicative and answered all questions. Two thumbs up.

No shower soap or shampoo ( was listed as supplied. Only 1 hand in unit. Moved from shower to bathroom sink to kitchen sink.
