The Big Texan Motel

"Traveling through for 1st time to a wedding and had to stop and stay at this classic historical haunt. Fun place to land for the night on our drive through and experience the hotel and the restaurant with all of its "stuff"."
La Quinta Inn & Suites by Wyndham Lubbock South

"Very quiet rooms. Staff was very nice and helpful. The AC worked great and the breakfast was really good. La Quintas are good for traveling with a pet."

"This hotel was a nice place to stay. It is a bit tired and needs updating. The staff are very friendly, the rooms are clean and the beds are very comfortable. It's also in a convenient location to Texas Tech. I wouldn't feel comfortable walking around the area too much as there are homeless people in the area. The hotel and parking lot are pretty safe."

"Staff was very friendly. The hotel is clean. There is some wear and tear here and there. I would stay here again but not as my first choice. Breakfast was also ok."

The Cactus Cove Inn and Suites

"Accommodations were average. I didn't like that even though I prepaid through hotels.com, the hotel charged my credit card and kept the charge for a week before refunding. I understand the need for a security deposit but any issues should be identified within a day. There could be someone else coming in behind me that did damage that I could be liable for. Not a fan of this practice."
