This VRBO is nestled in a quiet neighborhood with so many amenities! This was perfect for the 4 adults with private bedrooms but great living room for watching tv or playing board games.
Our hosts were very thoughtful down to the last detail. This was ideal for the baby and pup. The neighborhood is quiet and safe. The kitchenette is very small, but that worked for us as we planned to enjoy the local restaurants for dinner. They have an excellent library of dvd's and books on Alaska!
We had a great time. This property was located really close to my family. They had coffee and water in the unit, which was great. We spent most of our time exploring AK, so we just needed a place to sleep at night. The property was clean and easy to access. Communication from hosts was great. We would definitely use it again!
Conveniently located near Shopping and Dining in Wasilla and Palmer. Nice accommodations. The only concern would be handicapped access as the unit is down some steps against a hillside. Sure footed people should have no problem.
I absolutely loved the space inside. Out of around 10 places I've stayed from Girdwood to the Valley it was the only place that had a guest book and binder of all the things you could see and do. The place was nice and cool, so I could layer for comfort or just turn the fireplace on in the morning. It was great having books to choose from. I left 5 of my own that I read. The only downside was mosquitoes. It would have been an absolute treat to have a screened in area to enjoy the outside more. Got to play a little soccer with one of the grandkids. A great place to stay.

Inside was clean and well stocked with water and a variety of coffees. This was much appreciated. Appliances and plumbing worked properly with plenty of hot water. Fireplace worked, but digital display does not work. Exterior was unsightly - overgrown, multiple vehicles - not as pictured online. Noise insulation between unit and owner living space is poor, although all was quiet by 10:00pm each night.
We loved our stay!!! The owners are very friendly and accomidating. i didn't realize there wasn't a washer and dryer available and we booked for 10 days. The owners gladly washed and dried our clothes as needed! We had a lot of fun improvising as a family to make it work. Our middle son is disabled and we had to help him walk down the hill a bit to the doorway but all in all we had no problems! The shower/tub hot water worked like a dream. The televisions in each room and wifi worked without fault. They have a large variety of movies available to watch and family board games. We left their home with a little extra pep in our steps and warmth in our hearts due to their friendly dispositions and ease to work with. We are so happy we chose this home to make memories to last forever.

Great property in a Great location
Views are spectacular, accommodations make me feel at home.
We had a great time enjoying our stay in Plamer/Wasilla. The location was great and the unit was very comfortable. We will look forward to returning on our next visit.
Fred and Josette were welcoming and their retreat was very peaceful amd comfortable. We enjoyed the relaxing space during a family visit. While we spent much time with family the space was clean and full of great amenities.
I enjoyed my stay at the Mountain Vista retreat. There were many thoughtful details and the property is beautiful. I was most impressed with the attention to detail during my stay and the personal touches that made us feel welcome.
Fred and Josette are great hosts. I originally looked into the property based on it being centrally located between Palmer and Wasilla. But found out this place was much more. Nice, caring hosts and a roomy comfortable two bedroom apt. Worked out perfectly for us.
We were on Harleys and they went above and beyond to help us. The house was perfect. They felt more like good friends and we were sad to leave. Thanks for everything.
