"This was the perfect place to spend our honeymoon! The view is absolutely breathtaking in person, with the most diverse species of birds singing beautiful songs and flying all around the area. The suite was extremely clean and the pool was completely private, just for our unit. It was great to have AC and private parking. The kitchen was very well stocked, with a blender, stove, microwave, even a rice cooker! We also loved getting ice and filtered water right from the smart fridge. Eric was lovely to communicate with and was available to answer any questions. Since it’s in the mountains, I would recommend a car with four wheel drive to get up to the hotel. We didn’t have any issues with the road personally. 10/10 experience and highly recommend to any travellers in Ojochal! "

"The good: This is an excellent hotel with spectacular views, friendly staff, and a zen atmosphere. The bad: There is 1.8 KM of unpaved steep rocky road before you get to the gate and another kilometer before getting to the property. This is bad enough that we decided to give up 2 prepaid nights and leave early despite having a 2WD SUV (To their credit, hotel credit us for our incidentals, which accounted for part of the nightly rate). I highly recommend this hotel as long as you have known brand AWD SUV. The hotel casually informs you of this as a requirement after you book, which was too late for us."

"Costa Rica house What can I say about this stunning house. We have wintered away 13 years, all different places and I can say this was my favorite home. So warm and welcome. The grounds are breathtaking and the gardens pristine. The garden folks come every Monday and are such lovely folks. The grounds, flowers, hidden spots pure magic. We stayed 2 months and have had everything we could possibly need. Mark and Rolando were so receptive to any questions about house, area in general , great ideas for where to eat. I would be remiss if I didn’t remind you of biodiversity.,If you want to experience howler monkeys at 5:00 every morning, this is your place. It’s quit thrilling and probably once in a lifetime. Welcome your house geckos, they eat bugs and I used the leaf blower ( thanks Mark!) to blow out the floors through the French doors. 3 sets facing the ocean. Geckos are messy but good luck. Ceiling fans inside and out kept things cool. The pool in the afternoon and beach walking was a welcome site. Thank you Mark, Gary the gecko, all the magic birds ..Ethan the ever present roadside hawk and lovely afternoon rains. Really she deserves 10 stars! PS. Also saw whales. "Tom n Christine goes out of their way to make your stay wonderful. The atmosphere is so relaxing, fresh flowers cut, the beds are so comfy. The pool was wonderful n view was amazing. If you’re staying in this area. It’s a must! "

"This property is beautiful, tasteful, understated and in the jungle. It is small and intimate with only a few villas and attentive hosts. Villas are not large but are well appointed and very clean and comfortable. This place is a real find. Our stay was great in every way. "
