Wonderful place, loved visiting Palermo

Modern building with amazing views of historical buildings

We loved being in the middle of all the action within the historical center of Palermo. This location is a perfect launching place to visit all the main sites in the city. We especially loved the views from the decks - and chose not to use the AC and allow the cross breeze from all the open windows to cool us. The apartment was well stocked and the hosts were helpful and provided lots of help to make our stay better. This place was one of the only places in Sicily we stayed at that had an elevator. Perfect for those who have trouble with stairs.

The place was very clean. Don’t even think about trying to drive to it unless you have nerves of steel and are driving a car the size of a piece of luggage.The owner was great. The location is absolutely amazing. Air conditioning worked well. Washing machine worked well and was easy to use… Unlike many European washing machines. We just hung our clothes out to dry inside of the apartment. They dried overnight.Great balcony. All sorts of wonderful restaurants nearby. Walking distance to anything you would want to see.

In the middle of things.

The apartment was right in the middle of the old town area. Very clean, almost new, well equipped and comfortable. Balcony was a nice addition. We walked to most restaurants nearby. We would return.

Perfect location and kind hospitality

I stayed for 5 nights in February. Elena made a lot of suggestions and kind support for me before and during my stay at the apartment. The location of the apartment is real city centre of Palermo and it’s perfect. I went to many places from the apartment and everything is walkable distance. The room on the top floor is comfortable and quiet. I really enjoyed Palermo and the suburbs.

Great stay!

This property was right in the heart of Palermo with an easy walk to so many different destinations. The communications with our hosts were great and very helpful to solve small problems. The hot water in the shower was not the quickest to come out but we made it work. The amenities were all there, the space was bright and the airflow was wonderful. We could not have asked more for the views as well. Certainly hoping to return soon.

Just loved it!

We had a most wonderful stay in this apartment. Everything was provided to make it a comfortable and relaxing stay in Palermo which is exactly what we needed. Comfy bed, lovely shower, adequately equipped kitchen but we didn’t do any cooking as eating out is so reasonable in Palermo and the food, so delicious. The 2 balconies made it perfect! Even although the apartment is right in the historic centre of Palermo, the Quattro Canti, it is very quiet, on the 6th floor and at the back of the building. The street outside is limited to vehicles so there is little traffic noise. Our greatest pleasure was just wandering the streets, visiting the markets, eating yummy food and sitting in street cafes watching the world go by. We also went to Cefalù (twice) by train, and Monreale and Mondello, by bus. All very easy and accessible. We will definitely be back! Thank you Elena. Your advice on getting the shared taxi service from and to the airport was excellent. Quick and just as cheap as the bus.

It's all about the location!

Don't get me wrong - I'm not saying that the apartment wasn't fantastic because it was, but it's position in the centre of old Palermo was the key to our enjoyment. We stayed there for six days and it is situated only a few steps from the Quattro Canto the beating heart of the old city. We were met by Andrea, Elena's charming nephew who quickly showed us how everything worked and gave us some great local restaurant recommendations. We had a car but Elena arranged a secure reserved space for us in the basement of the building for an extra €10 per day. Do note that the apartment is in the ZTL (Zone of Traffic Limitation) and you have to pay €5 a day if you want to drive in the ZTL during the week - weekends free. You can buy ZTL scratchcards from most tobacco shops and then text the code to a central number. The air conditioned apartment is on the top floor, is accessed via a lift and has views east across rooftops. It has all the expected facilities to suit a couple but can sleep four at a push. Everywhere is walkable and we only used the car a couple of times to visit Monreale and the coast at Mondello. Don't hesitate to stay at L'Penthouse 261 if you're in Palermo - you'll love it.

Obwohl mitten im Zentrum der Sehenswürdigkeiten und Touristenmengen ganz ruhige ,geräumige,hübsche Wohnung mit kleiner Dacheinschnitt-Terasse im 6.Stock und Blick wie auf dem Foto ,mit Morgensonne zum Frühstück. Die Wohnungseinrichtung ist im Detail nicht mehr so top wie auf den Fotos, vor allem die Sauberkeit könnte besser sein! Andrea ist sehr charmant und liebenswürdig und hat sich super um unsere Wünsche gekümmert.Insgesamt hatten wir einen wunderbaren Aufenthalt .

L'ensemble est très bien mais il faudrait quelques produits de base ( nous avons été obligé d'aller acheter du liquide vaisselle et de la lessive!) Le matériel des cuisine est trop "bas de gamme" Tout le reste est "TOP"

Das Objekt liegt perfekt in der Altstadt. Man kann alles gut zu Fuß erreichen. Bars und Restaurants sind direkt vor der Haustür. Aber trotzdem ist die Wohnung sehr ruhig. Vom Balkon hat man einen super Blick über die Dächer.

Perfect location

We enjoyed our stay a lot. Andrea welcomed us in person and gave a lot of recommendations for Palermo. The penthouse is located in the very city center (near Quattro Canti), so restaurants, bars, shops, and street markets are all in close walking distance. Nevertheless it is very quiet at night, high above the streets at the topmost floor with two balconies. Beds are very comfortable. The car can be put in surveilled car parking nearby. Thanks so much!

Tolle Lage, prima Appartement

Für einen Aufenthalt in Palermo optimal. Geräumig, sauber, gutes Bett und die Lage ist nicht zu tippen. Einziger Minuspunkt: Wir mussten lange auf Andrea warten. Die Anfahrt mit dem Auto ist nichts für schlechte Nerven….und man sollte wissen, dass man das Auto inklusive Schlüssel in die Obhut des Parkwächters gibt. Wenn man es haben will, muss man etwa mit 20 Minuten rechnen. Abgesehen davon: Klasse! Wenn wir noch einmal inPalermo sind, kommen wir auf jeden Fall wiede.

Perfect location

The apartment is very close to all of the historical sights. There are lots of good restaurants close by. The recommendations in the handbook left by the owner are all good. The beds (including the sofa bed) are very comfortable. The apartment is spotlessly clean. We had a great time.

When can we return?

This comfortable apartment in a secure building has a generous balcony overlooking the rooftops. It is large and has everything to make your stay perfect. The bed is comfortable and the shower is easy to use with plenty of hot water. The inclusions are quality. The apartment is in a great position in the middle of the town within easy walking distance of many monuments, but also with easy access to public transport. There are many very good restaurants and cafes close by. Our hosts were both charming and helpful.

Excellent penthouse apartment in the center of the city

Elena, Andrea, Luigi and Alessandro were an excellent team coordinating every aspect of our stay. We loved relaxing on the balcony eating breakfast, having aperitivo, and watching the birds. Complete privacy, and not to worry, the San Mateo church bells right beside us did not ring the entire time we were here. Definitely take the convent and roof tour of the Santa Caterina Monastery across the street and don’t forget to get fresh pastries and cannoli in the bakery once operated by the nuns. This is a magical apartment in the heart of a historic city! Thank you for making it the perfect stay!
