Brough Hall is a wonderful listed Victorian building located in the Oakshaw conservation area within Paisley, just west of Glasgow. This first floor, self-catering apartment is ideal for a couple who want to enjoy all that Glasgow - a City of Culture - and the surrounding area have to offer, whilst staying in a charming historic property. The building is named after Peter Brough who was one of the wealthiest men in Paisley during the late 19th century and lived on this very site. Brough Hall was built after his death in Scottish Baronial style and was originally designated as a nurses home. This is carved above the front door, from where the nurses ministered to the sick and pregnant of Paisley.

Today there are five privately owned apartments. Flat Four is located on the first floor, looking out over the front of the property. Oakshaw Street is quiet, leafy and is a no through road. Inside the apartment there is an open plan living space with high ceilings and large windows. Everything leads off from the lounge, the kitchen is tucked round the corner and is galley style, and the dining area sits within the tower alcove. The bedroom has a wonderful large super kingsize bed.

Brough Hall really does make a fantastic holiday location from where to access both city life and countryside locations across central and southern Scotland alike.

The flat was everything we wanted.

The flat was everything we wanted. Five minutes walk from the town and station; we travelled into Glasgow three times and this was both cheap and quick via train. It was in a lovely part of the town, very quiet and all 'Victoriana'; there is a lot of quality architecture in the town. A safe parking space and a well appointed flat with some Rennie Mackintosh finishes.
