"Das Ferienhaus ist modern, hat sehr bequeme Betten und liegt perfekt um die schöne Gegend zu erkunden. Ein bisschen Abzug gab es von uns nur, da die Beschreibung "brandneu" nicht zutreffend ist und die Ausstattung des z.B. Bestecks etwas dürftig war und es im Badezimmer keine Abdunklung gab, sodass das Nachbarhaus direkt ins Bad schauen kann. Wir haben zum Check in leider keine Hausnummer genannt bekommen und mussten an den Häusern den Code des Schlüsselkastens ausprobieren. Das ging aber nicht nur uns so. Das Haus ist aber sehr schön und wir würden dort auch wieder Urlaub machen."

"Great place to stay with a family. Very quiet and casual. Good breakfast, pool was great for kids. Bike rental on site. Stairs to the upstairs bedrooms were a little steep and one bedroom a little small, but everything worked out great."

"Though this isn't a 5-star luxury hotel, it was clear to us there are people behind Hotel Leonardo who really put the effort in with the hotel. First, the location is great, just across from the lovely main Leeuwarden train station and a moment away from the Love Fountain, with its ethereal beauty. From what I understand it is one of the 11 Fountains Project. Best to ask ahead where to find the parking entrance. Once you find this, it's great the hotel has very convenient and secure underground parking. Additional fee. Granted, the hotel is dated, but somehow I felt it was dated in a good, European kind of way. It was spotlessly clean. Our large room with comfortable king bed, good shower and large separate bath and two sinks was very well maintained and many details thought of here. The cleanliness, maintenance, comfort, amenities and great A/C during the HEATWAVE outshone any thoughts of the hotel not being totally up to date. The variety and quality of morning breakfast exceeded our expectations. The friendly woman welcoming guests each morning at breakfast made the mornings extra positive. Service in the evening for drinks was also very good, the whole dining/reception area very large and comfortable. If we had any complaint about Hotel Leonardo, I can't think of it. We had an enjoyable stay. My only regret is not being in the city long enough to enjoy all it offers, including the discovery of the miniature people I understand are hidden in many places."

"The room was nice and clean, the only downsides were how many random sets of stairs you have to drag your luggage up and down to get to the correct elevator if your room is in the other building. The two person bed room is really great if you want to sleep next to your partner without snuggling, as if they try they’ll get swallowed up by the beds separating, haha."

"Vermieter war sehr nett und hilfsbereit (bei Problemen hilft er einen sofort und grüßt einen auch immer sehr freundlich). Haus (direkt am Bauernhof des Vermieters) war sauber, Küche war gut ausgestattet (Geschirr, Gläser, Besteck, Wasserkocher, Kaffeemaschine, Airfryer, Töpfe). Möbel sind etwas älter, Bett war etwas hart. Badezimmer samt Handtücher waren alle im guten Zustand. Umgebung ist ein kleines nettes Dörfchen nahe am Damm (gute Spaziermöglichkeit). Man kann mit dem Fahrrad (Vermieter bietet Fahrräder zum Vermieten an) vieles gut erreichen. Hundefreundlich (Wassernapf für Hund vorhanden). 10 min mit dem Auto/20 min mit dem Fahrrad gibt es eine Einkaufsmöglichkeit. Check in und out lief reibungslos und schnell."
