Elk Country Cabin | Wood Stove, BBQ, EV Charger
The beautiful northwest is the backdrop for our family gatherings, sharing fun times for years and now we wish to extend the good times to you too. Explore and soak in the beauty of Mount Rainier National Park with friends all day long and return to the Elk Country Cabin for a cozy evening by the campfire. Grill on the deck, cook meals in the small but well stocked cabin kitchen, or head into Packwood for a dinner in town. In the winter be warmed by the wood burning fireplace after a full day on the White Pass slopes. Find something from the game cabinet for all to play or pull a book from the lending library bookshelf and make a bowl of complimentary popcorn to divvy up. Or maybe just sip a cup of cocoa or cider on the upper covered porch and share a few laughs. From Memorial Day to Labor Day, walk to the pools, splash with the kids and immerse in the summer rays. On a sunny day walk to the clubhouse and play a round of golf on the 9-hole course surrounded in natural beauty. On a clear night gaze at the stars, swap stories and sleep on comfy mattresses with new mattress toppers in the log frame beds. Two bedrooms and a loft bunk room provide space for 8 people. Regulate your night sleep temperature with individual baseboard heaters, blankets and country quilts, or in summer flip on the air conditioner in the upstairs bedroom to get everything just right. The upstairs loft bunk room conveniently has a half bath. In the morning enjoy a courtesy cup of coffee or tea on the front deck while you plan your day's adventure, maybe it's fishing in the creeks and rivers, taking a bike ride, hiking to Packwood Lake or taking a drive on the White Pass Scenic Byway. We are grateful for and cherish time spent with loved ones, and we hope that you will treasure time shared with your loved ones at our cabin too.

We enjoyed our stay very much! The house was very comfortable and had lots of DVDs and games to choose from. Kitchen was small, but had everything we needed!
We enjoyed our weekend away at the Elk Country Cabin in Packwood. The cabin is set in a quite wooded neighborhood. The location was perfect for a day trip to ski at White Pass. The cabin was comfortable and had all the amenities we needed. We especially like the upstairs loft! We want to come back in the summer to hike and enjoy the country club pool.
The cabin was exactly as described with plenty of room for our group of 5. Extras like cocoa and popcorn and a well-stocked kitchen made our brief stay for a ski trip superb. We want to come back in the summer to take advantage of the patio, fire pit and pool access.
This was a great weekend that started with a great house! The listing was exact, it was spotless yet comfortable and communication with the manager was awesome! We knew exactly what to expect prior, during and after!
We loved everything about our stay here. The rooms were clean and comfortable and had the right amount of rustic vibe! We had more than enough space with 4 adults and 2 kid/teens. Having the extra bathroom was very helpful as well. The kitchen had everyone we needed (∧ more!) The grounds and yard and front patio with barbecue made for fun hangout spaces for family. This location was close to rainier national park and we were able to do everything we wanted to do easily. Even had all our streaming available for movies in the evening. Would absolutely come back!!!
Very nice cabin; fully stocked kitchen and many extras. Owner was next door and came over for a visit and was kind enough to help with propane tank that was just too tight for us ladies to turn on. It was unseasonably HOT in Packwood (over 100) during our stay so we appreciated the AC and additional fans. It was comfortable to just "chill out", read, watch movies, etc... Very much appreciated that we were not "expected" to do laundry, change beds, etc...though we left the cabin in tip-top shape. Cabin's location is close to town and not far from park entrances. I would definitely stay in this VRBO again. The beauty of Mount Rainer for me would be to head to Eastside of MR to SR123, and 401. If you can't do long hikes and don't want to fight lines at MRNP, head to Chinook Pass and take the approx. 4 mile Naches Peak Loop - beautiful views of lakes and Mount Rainer.
Perfectly located to access Paradise and Sunrise areas of Mt Rainier. Our 10 year old loved the loft and bunkbeds. The cabin was very clean and decorated in a rustic style.
We absolutely love our stay at this beautiful cabin. It was extremely coze and perfect for what we're looking for. It was clean and exactly as advertised. And incredibly convenient to Mt. Rainier NP. We will definitely look to stay here again next time we roll through!
We had a wonderful time here. Kitchen and bathrooms were very well stocked along with a wide variety of movies and books. The couches and beds were comfortable and the are was nice and quiet.
What a great little cabin. It was super well stocked with all the kitchenware you need. There was even a bunch of coffee and staples in the fridge. Tons of towels and plenty of space for the whole family. There is a main bedroom on the ground floor and then upstairs is a bedroom and a bonus room/loft with more beds. It was perfect for our family of four.
