Just up the road from Cape Kiwanda, the Short Board Studio is a cozy retreat after a day of exploring, cycling, climbing the dune, or splash in the surf. This ultra-cute, dog-friendly home has a fun retro vibe and space for up to 4 guests. Pack your boards and bring your fur buddy for a surf-cation at one of Oregon's premier surf spots.

The Short Board is the bottom unit of a modern Townhome, just a quick drive from Cape Kiwanda. Short Board is perfectly appointed for a couple, solo traveler or small family. After a day on the beach catching waves or hiking the dune, rinse off your wetsuit, sandy feet, and dogs before coming inside taking advantage of the outdoor hot/cold shower. Enjoy a glass of wine by the fireplace wander into the kitchen for a satisfying meal put together in the spacious kitchen. The well-appointed kitchen features plenty of space and full-size appliances for your culinary creativity to take over.

The living room features a couple of cozy chairs and sofa sleeper, so relax and watch the game, warm up next to the gas fireplace or sit back in one of the cozy recliners and get caught up with the world outside.

The views from the home are a sea of evergreen salal, Shorepine trees, and rhododendrons.

Midweek getaway to Pac city
Pacific city and Cale Kiwand were beautiful and had an Overall nice stay. Walking distance to the Pacific city parking lot, Pelican pub and Meridian restaurant, though the walk is right on hwy 101 with a very narrow shoulder in spots. Recommended parking for our unit was on the street well below a steep driveway. Inside the setup was nice, wifi and tv all worked well. Vintage kitchen table was fine, but the queen bed in the bedroom was extremely creaky and should probably be replaced or at least tightened up. The only cleanliness issue was that the sheets on the sofa bed had not been changed. Would also recommend more pillows.

Beautiful Location. Slightly misleading descriptions
We loved the location and the property. It's a short walk to the ocean and in a beautiful part of the state. The house was equipped with many of the necessities you might need for a one week stay (which is approximately how long we stayed). The twoissues we had were that the path to the beach (which was a selling point in the online advertisement) was closed for 9 months due to constuction. In addition, the TV was really difficult to use (it didn't work the way the in house flyer detailed) and also, the DVD player didn't work at all.
