What an absolute wee gem of a motel! Everything you need, nothing you don’t, beautifully clean and THAT VIEW!!! Highly recommend, we loved our stay here.

Lovely and peaceful stay at Pounawea waterfront motel! Communication with property manager was excellent with contactless checkin and the place itself has plenty of room! Would stay again and maybe stay longer as it is truly a pleasant location.

Its closeness to the water and the huge windows looking out to the sea. It was a great place to stay overnight during our first visit to the Catlins.
