"Andre is a phenomenal manager, and Mooiplaas is our favourite place to stay in Oudtshoorn. All staff are helpful, kind and caring, brilliantly clean and beautiful rooms, highly recommended. Be sure to engage the astrologer Ben if the night sky is clear! Amazing, 5 stars! The Barkers will be back :)"

"Very nice accommodation, we had a really big room with a bathtub. The guest house is roughly 5 min away from the main road, the road to the guest house is not the best but you can drive it with a normal car. A restaurant is near by the guesthouse."

"Lovely garden and very well placed for eating out and attractions."

"Our host Hermein was wonderful. Nothing was too much trouble. The rooms were beautiful and spotlessly clean. The breakfast was everything you could have wanted. I had the fruit with granola and yogurt. Followed by loads of toast and a cooked breakfast with the tastiest smoked bacon I’ve ever tasted. She organised a free taxi to and from a lovely local restaurant on the evening of our arrival. We left the next morning for the short drive to the caves, the wildlife sanctuary and the ostrich...

"We had a perfectly pleasant stay at Bella de Karoo. The room was expansive, with a full fridge and all other amenities we could need. "

"I only stayed one night but this place was excellent and I will definitely be back. Super warm and friendly welcome, and excellent communication in advance of arrival. Room was clean, comfortable, quiet, set in a beautiful property. The sherry in the room was a cherry on the top of all this! Thoroughly recommend for anyone looking to stay in the area or passing through."

"The property is beautiful and well located for visiting Prince Albert. The staff are exceptionally helpful and friendly. The breakfast is possibly the best I have ever had in a hotel. Overall I would highly recommend De Bergkandt for anyone spending time in the Karoo."

"Room was very clean and well-maintained. Everything felt fresh and tidy, which made my stay comfortable and enjoyable. I appreciated the attention to detail—would definitely stay here again."

"Everything I needed. Friendly hostess. Spacious and very clean apartment."

"Wonderful hosts, tasteful design, highly recommended."

"Home from home, a great place to stay."
