It’s a good stay. Nothing spectacular but the staff (probably the owners) were very sweet and nice. I’m not too picky and I felt safe in the area. There weren’t any disturbances and my room was pretty clean. The place certainly looks rustic if I was to comment on it but if you’re looking just for a bed and shower it’s great. They had good but loud AC, a Roku TV, mini fridge, and a microwave. If I travel to Des Moines again by myself, I’ll probably stop here again as the price was good
Ever time I am in this town, I stay here. Very helpful people.

Love staying here during the Nationals. They are always friendly and take care of us. The housekeeper always makes sure we have fresh towels and wash rags. The liquor store and cigar shop connected is a bonus.

Good enough
Much better experience than the last time I stayed here. It was the only hotel in the area available for this weekend, so that’s why I went back. My neighbors were outside talking at the top of their lungs until two in the morning, but that’s not the hotels fault. The air conditioner worked great and the water was hot and The room was clean.
The manager and staff at this hotel go above and beyond to make your stay comfortable and enjoyable. And can’t speak enough about their kindness. Please ignore the terrible reviews of this property. People can be so ugly and rude. That is not the case with these people. Thank you hotel OYO!
Got there to check in and had no reservation. The motel hadn't received anything from Expedia. Supposedly. I don't know or really care who dropped the ball. The establishment in no way appeared to meet the standards for a licensed motel. So we left Oskaloosa to spend an evening's money elsewhere.
House keeper never cleaned. I stayed 2 weeks due to moving here for work. I used my own sheets and towels. I got cleaner and towels from here after I asked if she would clean my room and she looked at me crazy. The hall have never been vacuumed nor swept. Not comfortable at all
I had a great experience!! The staff was very friendly and helpful, the room was clean and comfortable, I had a nice hot shower and the bed was very comfortable, I had no issues whatsoever. I will definitely stay there again the next time I'm in town there!! Highly recommended!!
If you're looking for luxury this is not your place. It was a great place if you need a place to lay your head and sleep. It is older and not the most up-to-date but the staff was great and we will stay there when we come to visit our daughter at college.
First the property doesn't affiliate with Expedia. The room was dirty, outdated. The bath and shower was 3 different colors. No hot water. Will not stay there again. Do not recommend
