"I've been coming back for more than 20 years, even before the new owners upgraded everything. This hotel is the best value in San Juan Del Sur. Next to cathedral and main park, walk to everything. The staff is extremely friendly and helpful, and fully bilingual. The neighborhood while very close in is quiet and safe. Its just below Pelican Eyes at half the price. Rooms and beds light, airy and comfortable even at the lower price point. All town's amenities are a few steps away."

"This was such a great property! We came to rest and disconnect from normal life and this house offered so many ways to do that, every couch, chair, table, bed, hammock was amazing and comfortable. The kitchen is well stocked with everything you need to cook whatever meal you could imagine. Staying in was easy and we didn't lack for anything. This house would also be great for the group that wanted to do all the things that this part of the country had to offer, it is in a great location that is close to all the great beaches and restaurants that although the view makes you feel secluded, you can easily be in the middle of any activity. We enjoyed the communication we received from the host and the care we felt from Dolores and Carolina, the caretakers of the property. We look forward to our next vacation at the Sea House!"

"Me gusta este lugar porque me siento segura, como en casa. Propiedad muy limpia. Personal amable. Desayuno rico. No había agua caliente pero en San Juan hace calor. La presión del agua no es muy buena. Piscina agradable, hay una cocina muy equipada. Definitivamente un lugar recomendado."

"We just returned from a relaxing week at Casa de Mono Encantado. The house has spectacular views to greet you every waking moment. The balcony was my favorite place to be. We spent mornings and evenings enjoying conversation while listening to the tropical birds, crashing waves and heard Howler monkeys on multiple mornings. The bedroom air-conditioners made sleeping very comfortable at night and ceiling fans throughout the house, along with the continuous breeze, made the hot days tolerable during our stay at the end of the dry season. I requested Yubran prepare breakfast for six mornings and for two evenings. I provided the groceries and Yubran cooked and served as requested. The total cost per breakfast was 10 and dinner was 15. He is indeed experienced in the kitchen and served Gallo Pinto, fresh fruits, juices and coffee. We went fishing with Ocean Surf and Sport Charters and brought home mahi-mahi that more than fed us during our stay with plenty to pass on to Yubran and his family. It is my second time fishing with OSS and I can highly recommend their fishing services. Yubran did an excellent job preparing and cooking the fish and was a delightful and non-intrusive presence. We felt we had the house to ourselves.This was my 30th visit to Nicaragua since 2006. The welcoming in country and at the house felt welcoming and safe. This house sits at the top of my list and I would gladly return. Thank you Donna for allowing us to enjoy your beautiful home. "
