Friendly and accommodating at the front desk. Very helpful in letting us know where certain places were and recommends for places to eat Comfortable bed,clean and quiet.

Wouldn’t recommend expensive basic hotel
Expensive for what you get Stayed two nights thank goodness couldn’t stay any longer Payed for a double had two small very uncomfortable twin beds no view it was awful over looked the back of a building. Did not have a shower very small bath the toilet was practically sitting in the bath, lucky I’m small if I was a larger person would not of fit on the toilet. No extras tea coffee no shampoos, very basic. Staff not helpful or friendly. No parking One positive is the location good location in town and close to the beach. Overall I wouldn’t recommend Can get a much nicer hotel for the money

Worse I've ever stayed in
Probably the worst hotel I've ever stayed in the beds were very small and uncomfortable, the room also very small and the bathroom was very poorly designed with a see through door so no privacy and the toilet position was such that I didn't fit in the space. We will never be staying here again

Ostend, a surprise
A 1 night stay in Ostend, during an extended stay in Belgium. Hotel location excellent. Plenty of local eateries for all wallets around. Hotel reasonable, fixtures a little worn. Lovely breakfast, fresh croissants, fruit loaf. Price ok at 62€. If I was staying longer in Ostend, wouldn't stay here.

Nice hotel well situated for all amenities and the Xmas market if I have any criticism it’s that the bathroom is quite small. Every thing else was excellent

Adequate - but not great for business
Staying here was like stepping back in time. The entrance hall was opulent and welcoming,and location excellent. The breakfast was perfectly adequate, and staff friendly. However, the room was basic - the shower required you to crouch in the bath (though the water pressure was a thing to behold - I felt like I'd been ex foliated!). I needed to do some work in the room - the WiFi was sketchy, the seating and desk cramped for working, and the lighting appalling. There were no tea and coffee making facilities in the room. It was OK for one night, but not for any longer.

Unfortunate
They took my reservation, and email confirmed rollout bed was available. But when I got there they couldn't accomodate me, wife and daughter. They would not let me sleep on an air mattress on floor, but would only sell me a second room. We had to find another hotel. They insisted on charging cancellation.

Almost to the beach
The front desk staff while not hostile was not welcoming either. The rooms pictured on the website are nothing like the room we had. Which is okay in an older hotel, but it didn't appear to be the same facility. The rooms was tidy, but worn. The breakfast was "okay", the dining room was small and (very) crowded. When will buffet dining rid itself of the need for small counters along the wall and get to buffet type tables on can get around? Really, have the guest tables be along the wall. Parking was at the public parking across the street. The hotel is one block from the beach. It's Oostende, it's Belgium, the Hotel Imperial could do better.

Great location
Great location..Very friendly staff...nice room..just no shower curtain in bathroom.. and on site parking is a block down the streets in a creepy parking garage. Loved our stay.

A good hotel
I enjoyed staying at this hotel. It had a bit of old world charm. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Although I was there on business this would make a good holiday base. The beach was a few minutes away as were a wide range of restaurants and shops. The coastal tram stopped just round the corner and the railway station was just two stops away on this. The breakfast buffet gave a wide variety and was available to 10:30, later than a lot of hotels.

Nice hotel but someone had smoked in the room.
I was pleased with the hotel except for one quite significant issue, the non-smoking room smelled strongly of cigarette smoke as if someone had smoked in there earlier that same day. After airing it, the room was fine.

Nice location. Good breakfast. Wi Fi in rooms at the end of the coridor is not well. Rooms are smaller than they looks on fotos, but clean. Parking will cost you a lot.

totally overpriced yes great location thats what is going for this hotel. location - but way too small trying to fit too many people in! Breakfast is a queue having someone monitor so cant really relax and enjoy leisurely breakfast. Room the smallest ever stayed in with an even smaller bathroom (agree other comments about lack of shower curtain meant water went everywhere!) at back of hotel very dark. ok if staying for one night (we stayed for 2) but not more as no space to move in the room we had and if the the price was reduced for being in such a cramped tiny tiny space i would not be so negative it just is overvalued for such a room and did not match photos so very deceptive. Towels not changed so had damp towels for second day and tiny lift for 7 floor hotel which was full meant never being able to have use of it. Was told as we are there at hight of season no bigger room available - so for that I would have liked the priced reduced this was for the first time we have used this site to not have a value for money stay in any shape or form as all other experiences have been great

Reception staff were unpleasant, demanding a GSM number which was ridiculous since the booking was not made direct with the hotel and they debited the crdit card on check in. Check in at 15h00 ridiculously late accompanied by an early 11h00 check out. Room facilities old fashioned and cramped and no air conditioning in 30 degrees temperature. Some items didn't work - example light in bathroom. Too much checking of people entering breakfast room, one single lift very slow for a seven floor hotel. Only saving grace is the location right near the beach, but no sea view from my room. Over priced for its services, facilities and attitude.
