8/10 Good
"A good value no frills budget room, ideal for a short stay. No lift, and it is up a few flights of stairs. Comfortable, clean, and well located, you need to ring on arrival to gain access. The staff are quick and helpful to respond, and provide a welcoming check in experience."

Frequently asked questions

What is the best area to stay in Osmar?
The best area to stay in Osmar is within the village itself or in the immediately surrounding countryside for a peaceful and authentic experience.Osmar is a small, traditional Bulgarian village, not a bustling city with distinct neighbourhoods. The main area is concentrated around the village square, where you'll find the local church, a few small shops, and the village's cultural centre. Accommodation here often consists of guesthouses or renovated traditional homes, providing a genuine insight into local life. For couples seeking a quiet retreat, staying in a guesthouse within Osmar village is ideal. You'll be able to enjoy leisurely walks through the village, experience local hospitality, and explore nearby natural attractions like the Shumen Plateau Nature Park, which is just a short drive away. The pace of life is slow, making it great for relaxation.Families looking for a rural escape will also find the village and its immediate surroundings suitable. Many guesthouses offer gardens and outdoor spaces, giving children room to play.
When is the best time to go to Osmar?
The best time to visit Osmar is typically during the late spring (May to June) and early autumn (September to October) when the weather is most pleasant for exploring.During these months, you'll experience comfortable temperatures, usually ranging from 18°C to 25°C, with less rainfall compared to other times of the year. This makes it ideal for enjoying the outdoors, including walks through the vineyards or exploring the nearby Shumen Plateau Nature Park. The grapevines are lush in late spring, and the autumn brings the harvest season, which can be a lovely experience for those interested in local traditions. For couples looking for a relaxing getaway, these periods offer a tranquil setting without the peak summer crowds. You can enjoy wine tastings at a leisurely pace or take a scenic drive through the countryside. The mild weather is also great for dining al fresco at local eateries. If your primary interest is outdoor activities like hiking or cycling, late spring is particularly good. The flora is in full bloom, and the trails are well-maintained.
