  • The River House @ 102 is conveniently located in downtown Oscoda, MI on the AuSable River! Our coastal inspired decor will have you ready to kick back, relax and cast a line or two! The River House @ 102 is a 3 bdrm/1 bath fully furnished home ready for the whole family to enjoy! Our rooms bring the serenity and beauty of the outside in. They are all well appointed with pillow top mattresses and new bedding (1-king, 2-queen). With 50' of frontage on the AuSable River with a seawall & dock to secure pontoon, speed boat, fishing boat or jet skis! Only a short 5 minute boat ride to access the turquoise waters of Lake Huron. Here to fish? You'll find bass, walleye, perch and steel-head right in your backyard! Walking distance to restaurants, shops, ice cream and downtown beaches etc. Lots of family fun provided with board games, cornhole, ladder ball, beach caddy with chairs, toys & towels, fishing poles/small tackle box, chairs and hammocks. Fully stocked kitchen, heat/central air, bathroom linens, televisions, bedding, outdoor grill and wifi available. Soak up every second of your getaway with us at The River House @ 102! Looking for more space for larger groups book the River Sweet Cottage located next door.

    For good swimmers this location can be good for snorkeling, the water is clear and can normally spot fish swimming out front. Sit back and enjoy the fresh air, refreshing water and clear skies at night. Get ready to RELAX, UNWIND and drop a LINE or two!

Oscoda Getaway

Jen & Jerry are 2 of the kindest people I’ve ever met and did everything to make our stay as wonderful as possible. The house was the perfect size for our family of 5, it was extremely clean and stocked with lots of things you would forget at home. The location on the river was awesome, the kids could have fished all day and didn’t want to leave. Thank you Jen & Jerry for your hospitality and an amazing place to stay, we’ll definitely be coming back!

Perfect little A-Frame with all you need!

This cottage is the sweetest little property. We had such a good time at this location which is just off the bridge, directly on the AuSable river. You can watch the boats/tubers from the large deck with sofa, /chairs, or walk downtown, or visit the beach all by foot. The house is renovated in a luxurious way with fun decor. The beds and bedding are hotel quality. This house is very well-stocked and even had items we didnt even think about---bikes, canoes, bluetooth speaker, K-Cups, etc. The owner is close by and very willing to help. She invited us to use her waterfront and toys. Will certainly stay here again when visiting family in the area!

Best hosts ever!

We've stayed at rental properties all over, in this and other countries, and Jerry and Jen are probably the best hosts we've ever had. I was nervous about having the hosts right next door, but it turned out to be such a bonus as they were incredibly helpful and friendly and made us and our guests feel so welcome. The highlight of the trip for our kids was all the fun they had on the Maui mat that Jerry pulled out for them to use on the river! The house was was lovely, clean, and incredibly well-appointed...it had everything you'd need, and even some stuff you didn't realized you'd need! The location was perfect for quick bike rides into town for ice cream or the lake beach, fishing off the dock, or kayaking the river or boating to the lake. I can't recommend this place highly enough!

Perfect river house

Our family loved this house. Being right on the river was amazing. All the extras available made it so much fun for the family. We were able to fish right off the dock and we were planning on tubing, but last minute since we had enough kayaks launched right at the house and went upriver and back down, much more convenient. We enjoyed the games on the deck along with several of the board games and even attempted one of the puzzles, but kept busy and never got a chance to finish it. Used the bikes to bike into town and beach. The bedding was comfortable and we were surprised to find a pullout sofa. Our 3 kids were all able to have their own beds. All of the amenities were top notch, like you would find at your own house, not a rental trying to cut corners. My phone port broke.....could not charge with my charger, I was rescued by the cordless chargers supplied. I can honestly say this was the most thoughtfully furnished house. They though of everything and it was there. Jerry and Jen were helpful in giving ideas and suggestions and we appreciated it. If we come back to the area, we would definitely stay again.

Great River Escape

Fantastic getaway. We didn't have the greatest weather, but the River house is so cozy and cheerful that it more than made up for it. We were able to get some hiking, fishing and kayaking in. They are great hosts.

We come to Oscoda every 4th of July to see family and struggled to find a rental to fit our needs. Jerry and Jen were the best hosts! They had plenty of supplies, games, entertainment and the rooms were so welcoming and comfortable! The Maui pad was such a bonus! We will be back next year!

All you need to bring is your clothes and food, Jen has the cottage filled with everything and anything you could possibly need!! Had so much fun fishing too!
