This area, Tempozan, is located at the mouth of the Anji River. It was formed in 1831 and 1832 by large-scale dredging of the Anji River, with the dredged sediment piled up to create a hill. At 4.53 metres high, it is said to be the lowest mountain in Japan.

Tempozan is a scenic spot blessed with panoramic views of the mountains and the sea in all directions. Pine and cherry trees were planted there, and facilities such as the Kakechaya teahouse and the Miharashido observation deck were built, making it a bustling place of relaxation for the common people.

This inn was designed with the cherry blossoms of Tempozan as its theme, in the hope that the time spent here with family and friends will be truly wonderful.As a symbol of the inn, a cherry blossom bonsai—evoking the Tenpozan of that era—greets guests as they enter the lobby.
