There are several miles of trail, some are closed because of flood conditions, and a couple sections of boardwalk planks. There is a great variety of terrain from sawgrass marshes to pine flatwoods, bay swamp and oak hammock. The Fallen Log Crossing and Osprey Overlook trails are the must see parts of the preserve. You might luck out and see an osprey or eagle, or even a gopher tortoise. I absolutely loved the place! The location is fantastic, with everything within close distance. The apartment was in excellent condition, and Kate, our host, was incredibly responsive and helpful throughout our stay. I even forgot something at the place, and she promptly shipped it to my home within a few days. I highly recommend this place!
