Comfortable, clean room in a quaint old pub. Food was OK, but pricey. The most disappointing thing, given that the pub is owned by Adnams, was the quality of the beer. I tried all three of their staple brews, all of which I know and like, but they were all flat and lifeless. They were also very expensive ...

All the staff we spoke to were friendly. The pool was a real treat. The room was comfy enough, but could have been cleaner (snack crumbs under the table and obvious cobwebs) and some of the public areas could have been cleaner. There was plenty of choice at breakfast, which was good.
