"Staff was very nice and helpful getting us checked in. The hotel resembles a log cabin, rustic feel. The deluxe rooms have a nice view of the pool and the river. There is extra parking for oversized vehicles. The room was clean and good size. The continental breakfast was good."

"We come here reguraly. Tis place is great, clean, and friendly. We usually grab the lodge and our Kids grab individual cabins. The Lodge is a great home base. we have a great time and always have big family dinners. Christopher is super friendly and very accomadating. He went to great lengths to ensure we had a great time. We highly recommend this host."

"This was our 5th time renting this property. It’s perfect for couples traveling together. A lovely home in a vineyard setting, which we took advantage of, daily strolling to see geese and ducks in the onsite pond. It’s an easy stroll to the Troon Winery for tastings in their outdoor gardens. We will be back whenever we visit the beautiful Applegate Valley."

"It’s easy to feel the lodge vibe at this great location on the river and also to recognize that it could use a bit of TLC around the edges. Disappointed that dining room was closed. Continental breakfast had numerous options- thank you. We never saw a staff member during our stay- Felt like the place had just held an event and everyone had gone home….. For the price paid value was not there. Great potential for lodge to be really nice"

"We were two couples, and enjoyed our stay. The home is large and would be great for a family gathering. The master bedroom is huge and has the top floor to itself. The main floor has two nice bedrooms with a shared bath. The lower floor has one bedroom and bath and a large living/game area that could sleep a few kids.The beds are comfortable and the linens are good. The kitchen is well equipped, but dinnerware is only for eight people. The home is in a very rural setting. We saw a lot of deer, and a couple of guys on horseback rounding up a stray steer from the dining room window! No grocery stores or restaurants nearby, closest seems to be Jacksonville and perhaps a convenience store. Bring everything you need, including ice as there isn’t an icemaker. And cell service is limited, although WiFi and text messages worked fine.The river is on the property but a long walk or it can be driven. Possible to fish from the bank, although we didn’t catch any. There are lots of outdoor spaces to enjoy, including a fire pit and a BBQ. Lake Applegate is about 15 minutes away, with boat launch, picnic and fishing areas."
