Cozy Christmas Cabin
We absolutely loved our stay in Andrew's gorgeous rustic cabin - it was perfect for family's Christmas gathering. This truly is a vert special place, designed and curated with the most uniquely lovely rustic design and decor. The cabin is light and airy and truly a dream!! We were all so impressed with the layout of the cabin and the brillant use of space. It feels much more spacious than 1700 sq ft and at the same time has an instant comfy and cozy feel that makes it feel like the perfect home away from home. Thank you so much for a truly special stay!

Enjoyed our visit
We had a nice visit. The location and view from the deck was amazing. There was lots of room for our group to spread out. However, there were a few things that would make me reconsider returning. The cleanliness was not really perfect, the couch was full of debris and broken, the tub in one bathroom had not been cleaned. The master bedroom bed collapsed when we sat on it. (We did fix it.) The kitchen was really lacking, in that there were not enough spoons, glasses, bowls for our group. There were no wash rags, hot pads, tongs, and no toaster. If there had been a broom and any cleaners, we would have left it cleaner than we did when we left.

Somewhat Disappointing
I want to start by saying the location and the property itself were absolutely gorgeous. To echo what the other reviews said, the deck view is truly outstanding. The host was great to work with and answered all my questions before arrival. It is a bit misleading that it isn't mentioned that the Master Bedroom is not private. If you have a large number of guests and will require the use of the third bedroom with the twin/full bunks, your guests will have to go through the master bedroom to access it, they will also be sharing the master bathroom. There were numerous small issues, that based on previous reviews, have been communicated consistently for a while now and have not been resolved. Even more, none of these issues would require a large amount of money to fix but they would improve the guests stay tremendously. Issues: Almost all of the blinds in the house do not work, the second you go to adjust them you immediately notice they are broken and will not adjust correctly. The can opener is outdated and broken and did not work. The Master Bedroom Bed is completely broken underneath to the point where it really is unsafe to sleep on (two out of the three metal stands holding the frame aren't standing). The balls for the pool table were cracked and broken; in addition, most of the cue sticks aren't functional (ends are worn off). The firepit was completely full of water and cigarette butts and had to be cleaned if we wanted to use it. Windows had wipe streaks across them.

Location! Location! Location!
We were so lucky to find this amazing property just 2 miles outside the East entrance to Zion NP! Our 20-something kids plus significant others loved the pool table, ping pong table and basketball. Our entire family thoroughly enjoyed the huge deck with canyon views, large kitchen and eating space, variety of bedrooms and baths plus did I mention those views?! We did Zion a couple days plus Bryce NP and itinerary worked perfectly! Taylor was very helpful and responsive to all questions. We will definitely be back again!

Great stay with incredible views
Great booking experience and excellent information and support. The view from the deck was amazing and was definitely the best spot in the house. The kitchen was a bit lacking in good pots and pans so cooking was a bit challenging. Also out of propane for the grill which we should have checked right when we got there so we had to pan fry some steaks, but it worked out. It was a great location to visit both Zion and Bryce.

Secluded Family Hideaway
My family and I thoroughly enjoyed our time at this property. The host was very informative and responsive to our questions. Our only regret was that our stay was too short. If your idea of spending quality time with family in a scenic, secluded cabin, then this is it. As some other reviewers have said, the photos do not do this place justice. Everyone said that they would like to return. Getting to the lodge, through Zion National Par, was a bonus.

Minutes to Zion National Park
If you are looking for a place close to Zion for the whole family, this is a great choice as it is less than 10 minutes away. It’s so close that we ended up exploring Zion National Park nearly every day of our stay. This home has a basketball net, pool table, and ping pong so lots to do when you’re not exploring the parks. We also spent a lot of time on the deck enjoying the beautiful canyon view during the day and the stunning expansive starlit sky at night. If you are looking to be minutes from Zion yet in a very private location, this is the spot for you. If you like to be in the midst of the action and nightlife, this may be a bit too remote. The kitchen is very well stocked with all the necessary things and even included coffee, sugar, and spices. Bathrooms were also very well stocked with all the necessary items which was very nice. The owner, Taylor, is very responsive and a pleasure to deal with. From the time I booked the home until the day we checked out, he was a great communicator. My only suggestion would be to put some kind of water filtration in this house. When the dishes come out of the dishwasher, they have a gritty white film on them even though they are clean — so maybe this house could benefit from some kind of water filtration system? In the big scheme of things, this was a very minor issue that did not affect the wonderful time we all had staying in this home.

Zion/Bryce
Our group of 6 adults enjoyed the location of the property and the layout of the house. It fit our needs for visiting both Zion National Park and Bryce Canyon from a centralized location before heading to the Grand Canyon for the remainder of the trip. The property appeared clean on the surface however, we were disappointed with several aspects of the house that the property owner needs to address. First and foremost, it was obvious that the water supply into the house contains very hard water and that the water softening system has been inoperable for an extended period of time. Showers and sinks were covered with hard water mineral deposits and all of the kitchen utensils, silverware, pots, pans, glasses were covered with the same deposits and you couldn't tell if they were clean or dirty. Pretty disgusting. The house had a water softening system but, it was empty of salt and obviously hadn't been used in quite awhile. Nothing worse than trying to enjoy a glass of wine or a bourbon and staring at dirty glass the whole time. Second, the kitchen of a house like this should have way more cooking utensils. You are a long way from stores and restaurants and cooking for a group with minimal tools was challenging, and especially since all of the tools appeared dirty due to the hard water staining. The kitchen contained only a single dish towel for cleaning up and drying dishes. Even a second one would have helped. In reality it should be equipped with three or four at the least. Third, most of the blinds in the Great Room of the house were either missing or didn't function. This is the west side of the home and the afternoon and evening sun made this room heat up tremendously, not to mention blind you while trying to enjoy the pool table or watch TV. Finally, while we understood that we couldn't use the fire pit on the back deck of the house due to the dry conditions, we shouldn't have been left with the pit full of partially burned logs and full of rain water to stare at for our entire stay. Hard to enjoy your morning coffee or a cold beverage in the evening while having to stare at a pot full of burned wood submerged in a pond of water. We could have poured it out but, didn't want to get it all over the deck surface while attempting to do it. The mess also started to attract mosquitoes by the end of our stay. It shouldn't have been left in that condition.

Everything we needed away from home! Perfect views! The host is amazing at keeping in touch. Our family and dog were so at home here. We really enjoyed playing pool, ping pong, and basketball. There was even a hike around the property. There was so much room for our family. The Zion Ponderosa was a mile away and kept everyone busy. The peacefulness was so amazing. The stars at night were amazing! I recommend this house for your stay. It has all the featured of home away from home. We will be staying next year also!

The location outside the East Gate means you get to drive through the scenic park route to reach the village while also avoiding the crowds. The home has amazing views and the host was very responsive. One criticism is that the kitchen is not very well stocked. Given the property can sleep 12, there should be many more plates and glasses and better quality and more pots, pans and utensils.

Our family had a wonderful time and the house is located in the perfect spot. Taylor was easy to connect with and helped us out when we needed it. The only things we would say about the house that he could improve on is the kitchen needs more pots and pans and dishes I in the house. Lots of Potential…But Disappointed
I really wanted to like this place. Location is phenomenal. Right next to Zion. View of the property is great too. But…it was filthy and in disrepair. Really rundown, from holes in the drywall, broken window blinds, to mouse droppings and having mice run around you in the kitchen. Super gross…and when you drive 1,000 miles for a place, it’s such a let down. We ended up leaving and getting a hotel in the middle of the night. Owner Taylor was responsive, polite, and apologetic…he also refunded that night we left. Overall I’d avoid unless the owner can prove repairs have been made.

Thank you for your review Jason! It's true that our house wasn't ready for you. Because of our location I rely on my staff to tell me when a job is done right after they've been trained. This time it wasn't and that staff member no longer works for us. The maintenance items have been noted. Guests are hard on our homes and we try our best to keep up with all the things of ours that gets broken. Mice are just an unfortunate part of having a home where we live. Being that we're in the middle of a large ranch.. They are just field mice and they're doing what they do best... get into homes. We do have a regular pest control service. Truth is we didn't do a good job on your stay. I refunded what was asked for and and deep cleaned the house after you checked out. We will do better!

GREAT TIME, WONDERFUL SETTING
Location and setting were perfect for our trip to Zion National Park. The house was spacious, the sleeping accomodations excellent, and the recreational activities (pool table, ping pong, fire pit, and basketball hoop) a nice way to spend time together. Our 6-year old grandson was especially thrilled with the basketball hoop and the pool table which kept him occupied. The deck is a great outdoor space, offering specatcular views of the mountains and a great firepit for making S'Mores and hanging out. We also enjoyed seeing the turkeys and deer each morning. All-in-all a delightful place to stay!

Awesome views to enjoy with good friends.
The views from the balcony were wonderful and always changing as the day went on. Wild turkeys were just a few yards away while we sat out and had our breakfast. The bedrooms and baths were well situated for our group of 9. Beds were very comfortable. The floor to ceiling windows bring plenty of natural sunlight into the space and provide glimpses of what Zion has to offer. One of our few complaints is that the windows could use regular cleaning to make the sights even more enjoyable. Our only other suggestions would be to add more glasses to equal the amount of people who could be staying. We found ourselves drinking wine from coffee cups. A few pans could use replacing although I brought some of my own. We think the wine cooler compressor is going out as it made loud noises on several occasions. Perhaps an extra trash can in the garage would be helpful as well . Nine people can generate quite a bit of trash when eating in most days. Overall we thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would certainly recommend the house for others.

Even better than expected
My family needed one more small vacation before we went back to school. We spent the weekend here and we plan on trying to create this same type of trip every year now. If I had one negative thing to say about this place, it would be that the listing didn’t do it justice. The pictures can’t possibly show the beauty of the landscape. The HUGE balcony was a family favorite. Breakfast, lunch, and dinner were enjoyed outside by the kids. There were multiple rooms that my kids could have chosen from, however, they all wanted to stay in the huge bunk room together. We ended up not even using 2 of the rooms upstairs because all 4 kids ages 7-14 wanted to stay in the bunk room. The kitchen was spacious with a large dining table. We only turned on the TV for a few short minutes because we had so much to do. Pool became a new family favorite. I was able to remind all my kids that I’m still the best at ping pong. And a couple of my older boys enjoyed shooting some hoops in the twilight in the cooler weather. The internet worked great, the hosts were never needed but their information leading up to our stay was awesome and helpful. I couldn’t be happier with the whole trip. Wish we could have stayed longer.

Great location close to Zion.
The bones of the home have a lot of potential. I’m sure it was an amazing place when it was built sometime in the early 2000s. But the home has a lot of deferred maintenance. Most of the blinds don’t work to block out the afternoon sun or to open them up to enjoy the beautiful views. Kitchen is large, but if you plan on cooking meals, might want to bring some of your own things like extra cutting boards, larger pots and sponges to clean the dishes. I know I’m posting a lot of negative things, but just being honest. Aside from those things, the place is awesome. The wraparound deck is amazing. The views are truly spectacular. The vaulted ceilings are great and place has plenty of room. Home is private and worked well for needs.

Great location, but the house is missing a few things
First, the pros: the location is fantastic. So are the views. There’s another cabin right next door, but those are the only people you’ll see/hear. The beds are comfortable and plentiful. The ac worked great. The weather is awesome up on the mountain. Pool table was in great shape so that’s been fixed. The host was super nice and very responsive. WiFi worked good. This place has so much going for it, but… The cons: For the price we paid, it seemed like this place was missing a lot of things and is in desperate need of small repairs. It isn’t your typical private rental. There’s no guest book and no thoughtful touches. It’s a very large empty house which we assumed was part of one of the local resort companies. If you have someone picky in your group, you’ll probably hear a lot of complaints on small things. Slow drains, not enough towels, only 4 drinking glasses, broken blinds, the couches are shot, the area rug is ripped, garbage on the property, etc. There were only 4 drinking glasses and the silverware is in rough shape. We ended up having to buy paper and plastic. The host was awesome about getting us laundry detergent and more toilet paper, but it would have been better if their cleaning service or maintenance just made sure the place was stocked before we came. These are relatively minor things, and hopefully the next reviewer notes that some of it is fixed. This house is gorgeous, but without some maintenance, it will fall apart.

Great vacation cabin 2 miles from Zion National Park!
My family loved this wonderful cabin. It was very spacious, had wonderful views of the east side of Zion NP, and it was an absolute pleasure to enjoy the sunrise and sunsets on the wrap around balcony. The cabin is very private, down a long 1/2 mile driveway that is only shared by one other cabin. It was definitely a place to "get away from it all." Close to many of the trailheads on the east side of Zion, and only about 1.5 hours from Bryce Canyon, and 2 hours from the North Rim of the Grand Canyon. Highly recommended for families and groups. Please note - the nearest grocery is about 30-40 minutes from the cabin, so plan accordingly.

First Utah Adventure
We flew from Wisconsin and stayed at the house for a week! When we got there we all went to the porch and were so excited about the views for the week. It's breathtaking. We had 2 18month kids, 3yo and 4 adults and had plenty of room. We did all of our meals at the house and had plenty of plates, utensils, etc.. if I needed anything I messaged Taylor and we got what we needed within an hour (garbage bags, paper towel, dishwasher pods). There were small things wrong with the house but nothing to reflect on or worry about. We did purchase a baby gate for the steps and then they had 1 pack n play which was great! I hope to go back when the kids are older. It was the perfect location of you want to go to Bryce as well. To get into Zion took about 40 minutes to get to the visitor center and park but only 20 to get to the east entrance. We did some evening hike on the east side and always found parking! The location was great, beds were comfy, Taylor was very responsive, and we made memories to last a lifetime. Thank you.

The lodge was super private, roomy and clean. We were between both Zion and Bryce park.
I couldnt get the lock box or garage to open when we arrived at 8pm. Luckily my AT&T phone has signal and was able to contact the owner who pointed us to the spare key. The house layout was odd but the kids didn’t care. GPS and Cell signal are nonexistent here so remember to download the offline map before you go. You can drive through Zion to get to this cabin but google map will flag highway 9 as ‘toll road’ it’s not. You have to pay to enter the park ($35/wk/car) to get on highway 9 but if you’re planning to go to Zion anyway then take this route to save time. Overall the house was good, there were a few things not working like the pool table, master bed light switch and the lock box/garage door. All minor inconvenience no big deal for us. We had a great time visiting the national parks and Brian Head. Thank you for letting stay at your bin Taylor.

Million dollar location but needs a million little repairs
Great place to stay to enjoy the view and location next to Zion. However the house itself is in disrepair and that takes away from what could be a luxury experience. We arrived with the air conditioning set to 69F and the bedrooms were 80F. Taylor was very quick to send someone out to fix it but we spent our first night trying to sleep while it was 80F. To make it worse one of the bedroom’s ceiling fan couldn’t turn the light off without turning off the fan. The minor stuff: holes in walls from doorknobs, cracked window, blinds stuck, holes in screens, hard water, pool sticks need tips, and we had a mouse in the kitchen. So it feels like staying in a well used campground rather than a million dollar home.
