This unit has recently been updated with our guests in mind. We strive to create a space you'll want to call your home away from home.
We do want to point out, while this condo is located on the beach, the balcony of your condo does not have a direct view of the beach.

Entire space is included in this rental including 4 pools (all outdoors), a rooftop tennis court, and during the spring and summer a poolside snack bar. One pool is heated during cooler months. Please, make yourself at home.

Upon arrival, parking passes must be purchased for $35 per car (cash only). This allows for up to 2 cars per unit to access our on-site covered parking.

Beach Vacation

The property was great for our family. Close to restaurants, shopping, grocery store, ice cream etc. The pools were great. The beach is just steps away. Enjoyed our stay.

Very relaxing

Stayed here for 7 days. Though the complex is old, it is very comfortable and the amenities are great. Three pools, a very short walk to the beach and the Sugar Shack were great. I would defiantly recommend staying here and plan to return.

We enjoyed our condo & stay so much! The condo was beautiful & very clean. Pictures show exactly what it looks like so all expectations were met. I’ve seen reviews about the hot water - we had plenty of hot water & it got HOT, even when both showers were in use! Over all would definitely recommend & book again!

We love sugar beach condos and stay there every time we go to orange beach. The condo we stayed in this time was great other than we hate they built a high rise next door and blocked the view of the beach (can’t do anything about that). The room was clean and excellent communication from check in to check out!!!

Meets Basic Needs

The complex is older and needs some updating, but the pools are kept up very nice. There is a fun little food and drink bar next to the pool that provides adult and non alcoholic beverages, food and snacks. They also have festive beach music on loud speaker which is a fun and festive. This Unit is nice, nothing fancy, kitchen has everything needed for any kind of meals you’d like to prepare, the bed ( we only used the master bedroom) was comfortable, we used the hall bath mostly as the shower in the master bath was quite small but usable. It is advertised as sleeps 7 which it could but it would be very crowded, there isn’t a dining table as there isn’t room for one As it states in the listing this is not ocean front, it also does not have expensive linens and towels, or expensive decor but if that’s not what your looking for as much as you are just wanting an affordable place to enjoy the beach and amenities and your able to book it at more of a super 8 rate verses a Hilton Rate this is the place.

Okay space

My overall impression was ehh. The pictures do not match up with the location. The location is smaller then expected. The inside of the place was okay...you get what you pay for... but what surprised my was the walk from the parking lot to the room. It felt sketchy and unsafe for my family. Once in the room it was clean but there were issues with the master toilet not working the entire week. We had to manually flush the toilet. The beds were very uncomfortable, and I would recommend getting them replaced. The kitchen was small to where only one person could be in it at a time and if you plan to cook be sure to bring anything you need for cooking because there are minimal supplies. The pool and beach access are what made this location. If you won't be spending time in your room, it's an okay location. With two small kids we needed to take naps mid day and it wasn't the best because they were doing construction. Overall it was an okay space to use.

Sugar Beach Fun

The resort was fine. We did have some concerns and the reply login was not user friendly. This is our 3 year staying there. This was the loudest the workers have been. Work started at 4 am two days!! All other days at 6am. The dishwasher heated drying doesn't work. The dishes were still clean just wet. Not a big deal. The only real concern was the hot water is so high. Worried about getting burned. We tried to turn down, and it didn't do anything. The washer would only run with boiling hot water. Not good for swimming suits and dress clothes. I had to try to add cold water, but the water isn't very cold. Then it would rinse with boiling hot water. Otherwise the room was nice. Plenty of dishes and silverware. Heated pool was wonderful, once they turned the heat on. Always a fun place to stay. Cindy Wiedmeyer

The unit was smaller than I anticipated, but having two private bedrooms with a bathroom each was great! Balcony access was wonderful. The walk to the beach was short, and we loved the private access. The pools were amazing! They had one kiddie pool that was excellent! Only 1' deep. Perfect for our littles on the trip, while some mommas sunbathed right in the pool. The pools were never over crowded.

Host? What host? Upon checking in, after realizing how deceptive the pictures were vs the actual state of the condo, we realized the WiFi was out. We immediately, and politely messaged the host. No response. All weekend. I sent numerous messages, contacted VRBO, no help, no response, no nothing. In addition the condo smelled, the towels were musty, everything was sticky, just gross all around. DO NOT RENT THIS CONDO.

Guess Who's Back, Back Again

This is our second time staying in this unit. It is perfect for our family. I cannot say enough. We've stayed in several different units at Sugar Beach & this one is the absolute best.

The toilet in the master bath the chain kept falling off so you had to open the tank and reach your hand in to flush it. I notified via the app right away and no response from the host. The air quit working with three days left of our stay and again no response from the host to help fix that.

Wonderful Family Fun

Unfortunately my wife was too sick to make the trip but my brother in law and his family were able to go. They enjoyed themselves and the beautiful beach. The owner, Stephen, was so accommodating and answer my questions promptly. He gave me daily updates and also provided many fun things for my brother in law to do with his family. Hoping we can all get back before the summer is over. Highly recommend this condo.

We checking in on Wednesday the condo was warm and thought the Air Conditioning was taking time to cool down. The evening of checking the condo temperature was 78 degrees. Thursday the temp started to rise. I wrote the owner thru the VRBO website no contact. Thursday evening the temp was 85 to 86 degrees way uncomfortable for my wife and I, but I was more concerned about my parent on their 80's. I tried two more time to contact the owner thru the VRBO web site with no success. Friday I decided to vacate the property after contacting VRBO. I made reservations at the Hampton Inn. Thru this process i have sent pictures of the thermostat as well as the bill for the Hampton per VRBO request. Lastly the sliding door to the main room does not operate it requires alot of muscle to open
