Great location with a walk on the beach just across the road. The shower is standing in the hot tub, a new configuration for us. Unfortunately, low water levels made the hot tub not recommended. The French Press needs attention, but otherwise appreciated given the remote location! 😀

Stefan has done a great job renovating this property. It’s stylish with everything one needs. A lovely outlook from the garden over a gorgeous sandy beach. Town is a 10 minute drive away.

Wished we could have stayed longer than 1night. Stephan greeted us when we arrived and went through a few things. Gave us a great recommendation for dinner, and was very friendly. The property itself was amazing!! The view from the deck is breathtaking!! Highly recommend!!

Fabulous Find at Ohiwa Beach

We stayed in the Honey Loft, a beautiful open space that was well appointed and tastefully furnished. We loved spending time on our private deck with views of the ocean. The beach was an easy walk across the street and one of the most private and glorious stretches of sand and azure water that I have ever seen. Our host, Stephan, was helpful and accommodating. It was a place I would go back to in a heartbeat.

The property is off the beaten track but only a short drive to Cafes and supermarket. Across the road from Ohope Beach with it's sands, dunes and sea only a 100m walk. Beautifully rustic self contained room, well appointed, clean and tidy for a restful stay. Perfect stopover or escape from the hustle and bustle.

What a cute, remote, little place this is! All you hear are the rumble of the waves and look out on the vista of the Bay of Plenty and Whakari/White Island. Highly recommend. If you're in need of supplies, Opotiki is a 10 minute drive away otherwise, enjoy the wilderness. Fully equipped unit to spend time away from it all.

What a gem! We had the Honey suite included a private patio with view. We could see and hear the Ocean which made all the stresses of the day dissolve away. Short walk to beach. Unit came equipped with a small kitchen, couch and comfortable bed. Only two other units on site so lots of privacy.

Cool little getaway, host very welcoming. pretty close to amenities and a picturesque drive. the room wasn't what I expected as I didn't see this in photos when I booked. bit gutted as we thought we were getting a bath, room was pretty dated, TV was terrible. Room had basics for cooking and underfloor heating in bathroom was handy.
