Ohiwa Bach By the Sea

This is a spacious four bedroom beach home located in a quiet cul-de-sac at Bryans Beach, Ohiwa. There is ample room for cars, boats and tents plus a large understorey garage with ping-pong table and sofas. Upstairs are two queen beds, one double bed bunks and three single beds to sleep nine.

A large sunny deck with an ocean view and BBQ caters for sundowners and al fresco dining while the freestanding woodburner inside makes for cosy winter evenings.
Two refridgerators and an extra downstairs freezer cope with the supplies needed to feed and water the crew.

One minutes walk puts you on the ocean beach with its surf swimming, surf and Kontiki fishing plus the opportunity for long walks with great views of Te Puia o Whakaari (White) Island, Moutohora (Whale) Island and the East Cape.
The calm waters of Ohiwa harbour and Waiotahi estuary are just a few minutes away by car. Very safe bathing, kayaking, windsurfing, shellfish gathering and flounder fishing are all catered for here.

Local activities include biking the Dunes Trail, Motu road trail or the more adventurous Pakihi mountain biking trail.

Golf courses at both Ohope and Opotiki.

Freshwater recreation is also close by. The beautiful Waioweka and Waimana rivers are great for swimming, canoeing, campfires and are also excellent trout fisheries. A little closer to Ohiwa are the Otara and Waiotahi rivers which boast the same activities on a more intimate scale. Come night-time the Ohiwa glow-worm trail is well worth a visit and a must for young children.

Just five minutes from Bryans Beach is the Waiotahi garage which provides fuel and while Opotiki 15 minutes away has a supermarket to keep the cupboards stocked. Whakatane is approximately 40 minutes by car and boasts good shopping, cafes, restaurants and of course a cinema to help cure camp-fever on a wet day.
Great fish and chips too.
