Lovely place with everything you need. Lots of toys for kids and toys for the beach. Awesome views.
The house was lovely. Safe swimming and good walk to Crayfish Bay. The weather was stormy but plenty of board games to keep us entertained.

If it feels like a bach and smells like a bach....
This is a tired 1970/s (?) bach which is mediocre at best in every way except the view. Even the location is misleading - it is a couple of houses back from the beach and you look into the neoghbours back yards. It would be expensive at 1/4 the price we paid.

Fantastic Spot
We had a lovely week away here, such a fantastic location. House had everything we needed and was great for kids with body boards, kayaks and lots of games to play. Owners were very understanding of uncertainty around being able to get there under COVID restrictions. Thank you!

Great Bach
We had a wonderful 6 days here. Opito is amazing. Location of house is great. Views are outstanding. Short stroll to beach. House is well equipped. Beds comfortable. Kitchen is fabulous. Well stocked with a few basic pantry staples. Lots of games to play. Bathroom very basic, with shower in laundry. Master has lovely views, but tiny. Thanks so much.

Iconic kiwi holiday with worldclass view. We shared this holiday with our grandchildren and we felt completely relaxed beach adventures, walks ,table tennis fun ,bbqs on the deck. Its hard to imagine a better spot.

Location is brilliant, close the beach. Very safe swimming at Opito Bay - kids loved the use of the kayaks and bikes. You could watch the kids at the beach from the deck. Everything you need is at the property - would definitely stay again.

Well worth the effort - Gorgeous Opito Bay
Opito Bay - what a gem. Secluded and divine location - perfect weather allowed us to explore and swim. Sue's house is such a great location, fabulous decks to allow you to people watch and enjoy the fabulous views. Would have been perfect if we had a boat and fishing gear - next time. The property is very close to the beach with spectacular views of the beautiful bay. Inside is very well appointed and extremely comfortable to stay in. Sue was an incredibly generous and organised host. Highly recommend.

A beautiful three bedroom house across two levels. Amazing views from the kitchen, living area and bedroom 1 over Opito Bay and the hills. We shared the house with another family and all loved it.

Incredible stay. Will definitely be back!
We had such an incredible time at Sue and Theo's Bach in opito bay! The house has the most stunning view of the whole bay which amazing wrap around decks to make the most of it. The house was perfectly set up for families with absolutely everything we could have needed for a week of completely chilling out and beach fun. The house provided so many areas to soak up the sun but also great shade which was perfect for the kids, and had kid gates on all stairs which made it easy to relax with small ones around. The area itself is absolutely stunning, and super safe for kids. There are no shops around as well which we loved as it meant we were there for total relaxation time, but Whitianga was close enough for when we needed supplies. The photos really don't do it justice. Sue and Theo were great hosts and excellent communicators. We had the best holiday ever showing our UK family a traditional kiwi summer beach holiday. Will definitely be back, cannot recommend highly enough.

What a Location!
What an awesome spot. Came here with our 2 kids who had a blast along with some friends visiting from Australia. A pretty good place to introduce them to NZ! Very relaxing and beach just over the road to play around. The house was perfect size for our group and the balcony and BBQ was well used. If only we could find our own place to have in this part of the world.

Amy, Martha and I had a great trip to Opito Bay in Feb 2019. The area is beautifully secluded that allows you get the most from a relaxing break. The beach is fantastic and its proximity to the house meant spending time with our 16 month old the ideal location. The house itself is excellent; great views, perfect facilities and it comes with an owner who provides a super welcome, check-in and "on hand" if needed support. We thoroughly enjoyed our time, and would recommend the area but also recommend the accommodation.

A lovely place to stay with paradise at the end of the driveway.
The accommodation was lovely and clean with great indoor/outdoor flow. The balcony wraps right around the top floor so shade is always an option. There are great comfy outdoor loungers and a big outdoor dining table so the property accommodated our large group well. Situated right next to one of New Zealand’s loveliest beaches (in my opinion), we couldn’t have asked for a better spot. The home owners were great to deal with. We hope to return for another holiday in future!

We had the best six nights at this place. Opito Bay is one of the most beautiful spots in the world and being right across the road from the beach was so convenient. Waking up and looking at the view was the best. The Bach is decked out with everything you could need for a summer holiday. Thank you for sharing your home with us Theo and sue
