I loved our stay in the house. The beds were comfortable and we were able to watch TV at night after our long days of hiking. I see they are doing work outside, and I hope they'll include some outdoor furniture in addition to the folding chairs they offered. That wouldn't make this any less wonderful, the place was ship shape and cozy with all the things we needed right where we needed them.
We stayed 3 nights while we explored the Porcupine Wilderness State Park, area waterfalls, and some area lighthouses. We loved spending time on the public beach, watching the sunset (when it wasn't cloudy), and enjoying good food in Ontonagan.rerestaurants.
This stay was everything me and my partner were looking for. We were looking somewhere close to the Porcupine winter sports complex and this put us just down the street! Cute, cozy, comfortable is how I would describe this stay! The town is delightful and so are its people. I would absolutely recommend this stay to anyone looking to enjoy the ski slopes. Next time we are going to snowmobile like the town recommends!
Good place if you don’t care if it’s completely clean. Plenty of grass for the fur babies. Bathroom and bedrooms are upstairs. Not good for people or kids who have a challenge with stairs. Overall, I’d stay there again.
This place is very clean. Quiet has everything you need close to the beaches close to town. The only thing that I had a problem with it was there was no driveway which is mud and grass make me throw a few rocks down for. A driveway. So not so much dirt is tracked into the house.

Rainy weekend
The property was a little difficult to find as it was on an unmarked alley. The home was overall clean and well appointed. Did find clumps of dog hair while cleaning up to go. Some confusion on the online pricing. Overall not bad.
Wonderful owners! We loved the decor, which made us feel so UP North. The appliances, TV, internet, abundant hot water pressure and other modern luxuries made for a comfortable stay. Communication with our host was easy and timely. Look forward to staying again someday!
All went well and we enjoyed our stay. Upstairs in definitely warm even with the heat set at 60. The location is great. It was a short walk into town. The house is well stocked.
Super cute decor. Clean throughout. The only thing missing (per the description) were the kayaks. Perfect location as base camp for our two days in the area.
It was a nice house to stay in, but it could have been prepared and cleaned better. The trash can inside was disgusting, and we actually went home a day early because the beds weren't super comfortable. Had to shovel snow away from the front door entryway. Seemed kind of overpriced for what we got. Not a bad house, just had higher expectations for the price, especially for a stay in the winter off-season.
For an older home it had cute industrial decor. The kitchen had everything we needed for our quick getaway. The only issue was it’s hard to find!

Getaway
The house is very cute and decorated very nicely. We had one issue and the owner had someone come fix it right away. As far as cleanliness goes, this place could use a little more attention to detail when it comes to cleaning. Otherwise, it was a really cute place in a really small town.

The toilet and shower weren’t clean upon arrival, which makes me doubt the extent of the cleaning throughout the house. Not an ideal concern to have for a property.

Old House vibes good for some
Our check-in was easy. We appreciated the newer washer and dryer since we were on a long trip with lots of hiking. The fridge was clean and roomy. This is not a kitchen that would be easy to cook in. There's no counter space. The kitchen had everything we needed, just no room to do it in. The stairs and wood floors were super creaky and slanted, typical of an older home. A/C window unit in one bedroom only, which saved us during the unseasonable hot weather. There were a few spiders/bugs, which I'm sure it also common in 100 year old homes. The TV worked fine and couches were comfortable. It was our only option in the area when we booked 5 months in advance, but we wouldn't stay again. The photos look cute and charming, but it's a little like Glamping.
