The Village at Izatys

"Our cabin/townhome space was beautiful, spacious, and peaceful. We loved how cozy, clean, and comfortable it was. The fireplace was awesome. The master room with the bathtub was super cool. Everything was almost perfect. We had two main complaints that didn't hinder us from having a great time, but if improved would make it a perfect place. 1. having a ceiling fan in both bedrooms: that would provide us the ability to sleep more comfortably. Not a big deal that one wasn't, but does provide more value to the space and comfort to the guests. 2. The water: this one is bigger. There was no water filter so the water had a very strong smell of iron. We didn't even want to try to taste it - yuck. We are more health-conscious so we just immediately went out and bought drinking water and a big water jug to use when cooking. Showering was pretty difficult to handle because of how strong the smell was and there was no way we could bathe in it, so we were bummed to not utilize the amazing tub. The dishwasher was stained with iron grime so we didn't want to utilize that either and opted to hand wash out dishes. Putting in a water filter to take out the iron would go a LONG way to making the space more comfortable and useable for the guests. We loved the space so the water really was the only "big" issue we had."

"Absolutely LOVED the villa! Hosts John and Linda were quick to reply to communications, provided specific instructions for our stay, and offered suggestions for local food and entertainment. The kitchen had everything we needed (knives could use sharpening), the villa had plenty of seating for meals and playing games when the weather didn’t permit us to be outside and enjoy the beautiful outdoor space. The villa’s close proximity to the lake and fire pit were ideal for us to set up camp at the firepit and be able to go back to the villa for snacks, bathroom breaks, books, etc. We love to be out by the lake, whether we’re in it, or sitting and relaxing near it, and the villa’s location was perfect! The porch was the perfect place to sit in the morning to sip coffee and quietly enjoy the beauty of the lake before heading out to walk along the shoreline or sit by the fire pit. Having three bathrooms was also a huge bonus, something we previously haven’t had the luxury of on our annual cabin weekend. One thing we didn’t know about was the log carrier! We found it right before we checked out! It hangs on the wall right outside the sliding door in the porch. We used a lot of wood and carried the logs in a few at a time. Also, we so appreciated that the logs were provided by the hosts! All in all, we couldn’t have been happier with the accommodations! We enjoyed the stay so much, we booked the villa next Fall for our annual weekend!"
