A sunny, spacious bach beside the southern shores of Lake Taupo, Koromiko Rest is the kind of place holidays are built around.



Tucked quietly into Omori, a small community on the southern edge of Lake Taupo, this two-bedroom home sits in a peaceful bush-fringed setting with the lake just a short walk away. Turangi is only 15 minutes down the road for supermarkets, restaurants, and everything else you might need, while the local store and a well-regarded takeaway truck are just around the corner.



The home has a warm, unhurried quality to it — the kind of place where slowing down comes naturally. The sun-filled interior opens out onto a large attached deck with lake views, a generous space for morning coffees, lazy afternoons, and evening meals with the family. Surrounding bush add a layer of quiet and shade, making the setting feel more private and tucked away than you might expect.



Inside, the home sleeps up to six guests across two bedrooms and a flexible sofa bed in the living room. The master bedroom has a king bed, the second bedroom a queen, and the living room sofa bed can be set up as a king or two singles — giving you real flexibility for mixed groups and families. A full kitchen, laundry, and a dishwasher mean the practicalities of a longer stay are well covered. A coffee pod machine, games, books, kids' toys, and sporting equipment round out a home that's been set up with genuine comfort in mind.



Out on the deck, the BBQ is ready to go — and with boat ramps nearby and the lake on your doorstep, days here tend to fill themselves easily. There's room for up to four vehicles on the grass, and boat or trailer parking is available on the property too.



Whether you're after a long weekend with the kids, a fishing trip to the southern lake, or simply a few days of proper rest in a well-set-up home, Koromiko Rest delivers the classic Kiwi bach experience with everything thoughtfully in place.

Bedroom 2: 1 x Queen Bed



Living Room: 1 x Sofa Bed (configurable as King or 2 x Singles — bedding stored in master bedroom wardrobe)



House Rules and Information:



Parking: Up to 4 vehicles on the grass within the property boundary. Boat and trailer parking available — please take care not to damage the lawn when turning. A property boundary map is provided; please respect neighbouring properties.



Pets: Pets are welcome. Please let us know at time of booking if you intend to bring your furry friend. A pet fee and bond is required.



Linen included – we are a holiday home management company and include professionally laundered linen and towels in the nightly rate.



Cleaning: Exit clean included in nightly rate.



Parties/events/noise: No parties or events. Please keep noise to a minimum after 9pm out of respect for neighbours.



Smoking/vaping: No smoking or vaping inside the property.



Safety/feature disclosures: The property is unfenced.



Minimum age to book: 25 years.
