"We had a wonderful stay at the gite for over 2 weeks. It was the perfect place to visit the ehole of west Normandy includung Bayeux. It is close to the sea and to the village of Urville, where the local supermarket Utile had everyting you need and has great opening hours. The gite itself is cosy and the fact that it is near the castke with great gardens is an absolute plus. The interior is a bit outdated on some occasions an could do with some repairs, but our stay was very much ok. If i visit...

"L’accueil était génial fait de gentillesse et de simplicité. la propreté pratiquement parfaite Les extérieurs sont fort jolis et très bien entretenus Et tout est très silencieux. l’emplacement est formidable les gîtes sont extrêmement bien conçus et très agréables à vivre. Le seul bémol est que la wi-fi était annoncée dans le logement et qu’elle n’y est pas …. sinon tout était impeccable je recommande vivement cet endroit"

"Garten (sehr klein) und Eingangstor NICHT hundesicher! Treppe nicht für Kinder oder Hunde geeignet. Dünenblick durch Mauer verbaut. Abwaschmaschine defekt. Sicherungskasten hinter Vorhang ständig zu hören. Direkter Nachbar (getrennt durch Hecke) der sein Auto direkt vor dem Schlafzimmer parkiert (siehe Foto). Totalreinigung wäre angebracht, alles etwas „siffig“. Wir waren sehr enttäuscht."

"This is the second time we have stayed here. The house is so well equipped and comfortable. We love the huge garden, the many lounge areas and the incredible location set back from the road yet walking distance to the shore. We were made to feel so welcome and will return again I’m sure."

"Easy access to ferry port was met and shown round the house which was very clean and had everything we needed. Use of garden on the sunny days was good. Showers beds and accommodation was to a very good standard. We were a party of 3 couples with push bikes. Would certainly book again"

Hospitality as it should be !
"Hôtel Le Louvre is just perfect ! I felt instantly welcome when I arrived thanks to a most friendly and professional receptionist. The hotel itself , is ideally located in the heart of city centre , in a quiet and easily acccessible street, with a private garage . The whole property is immaculate, my room was spotlessly clean and comfortable with great bedding and bathroom. A welcome pack of biscuits , a bottle of water and some nice soap and shampoo were a rather nice touch. The breakfast buffet , prepared by a very friendly team,offered a great selection of food and the coffee was good. I only stayed one night , before boarding my delayed ferry to Ireland but could happily have stayed longer to visit Cherbourg and surroundings . So well done and thank you to the Team...I'll definitely be back."
