Omarama stay
My partner and I stayed at Michelle & Neville's lovely place for 2 nights as part of our across-NZ journey. The place was perfectly clean and incredibly relaxing. It was spacious and had every amenity we needed - even laundry and fresh eggs and tasty snacks for breakfast. We had some good chats with our hosts as well, and they were very kind and helpful with suggestions on what to check out during the next leg of our journey. We would highly recommend this stay to anyone looking for a quiet, relaxing getaway.

Michelle and Neville was very welcoming and couldnt do enough. Room was generous, very spacious and very clean. The hosts had thought of everything you could need right upto plug adapters! The brealfast supplies were lovely and again generous. Thank you both for a lovely stay, we will be back Regards Keith and Denise.

Wonderful stay at a lovely well appointed clean and newer cottage -- Michelle pays attention to details in terms of how well it is appointed -- right down to chocolate for the evening. Comfortable bedding and linens - we really enjoyed our stay and highly recommend this place if you need accomodation in the area.

World class comfort
We have had a wonderful stay here. Neville and Michelle were very welcoming, kind and helpful. The apartment is beautiful, very tasteful furnishings and decor, nice and bright and airy. Everything we could have possibly wanted or needed was supplied. Breakfasts were just great. Peaceful setting too. One thing we really liked was that this was the only guest accommodation, so there was no other guests or vehicles to disturb the peace. It is a stones throw from Omarama where you can have a delicious meal at the Wrinkley Ram, and some great clothing and footwear bargains at Craigs. I honestly give this home away from home 5 stars and we will be back.

Very enjoyable stay!
The property was very welcoming, very clean, stylishly laid out and comfortable. It had everything we needed and the breakfast goods were great. Communication beforehand and while there was helpful and check in, smooth. View of mountains was splendid and surrounding gardens and seating areas very pleasant too. Just on the edge of town, easily accessible shop, bars etc and hot tubs just up the road.In a good spot to access other places of interest.

Time out in Omarama
Lovely warm unit with everything I needed to relax for a couple of days. Would recommend to anyone and stay again. Michelle - you were right about them queueing up at the lake with their caravans!

Amazing B and B
A gorgeous self contained property with a beautiful country outlook just a minute from township. Neville and Michelle made us feel very welcome. Brekkie was lovely and nothing was a problem.. would def stay here again when visiting Omarama.

Lovely spacious accommodation and great hosts
We stayed one night here and really enjoyed it. The host is lovely and accomodating, super easy to deal with. The room was modern, very clean, and spacious - a large bed, couch and table, plus perfect sized kitchen, and large bathroom with excellent amenities. The property is stunning with some vines on the hill and a view from the room across trees to the hill. Close to the Omarama hot tubs which is a bonus. Great stop for us on our road trip as it's on a main route from Otago to Canterbury. We would absolutely go back.

Top Class premises

A Beautiful Stay!
Michelle was a beautiful and warm welcoming host! It was lovely and cosy inside, very clean with everything you need. Michelle gave us some great local info and where to go for sight-seeing, eating out and where to shop for supplies etc. We highly recommend staying here with Michelle & Neville, we are definitely coming back to New Zealand and we will be definitely rebooking with Michelle! It was like a home-away-from-home :) xx

We were unfortunate to be double booked our night. Host Michelle phone contacted us within the hour of booking to inform us, and had organised for us to stay elsewhere in Omarama, Sienna Motels. A hiccup of online booking system, however we were looked after well. Our breakfast was also delivered to the motel so did not miss out on that! Our host, both of them could not be more helpful. We enjoyed our stay.

Thank you Jan for your lovely review. I have since made inquiries why this double booking happened. It appears because I was out of Wi-Fi reception when the two bookings came through preventing the booking calendars from synchronising like they are supposed. Unfortunately, this is a NZ problem not having full Wi-Fi coverage across the whole country when driving. I am very happy that you were looked after well at The Sierra Motel. They were very accommodating with my problem. Thank you for being so understanding.

Excellent accommodation, will stay again.
Lovely linen, fluffy towels, most comfortable bed and the addition of electric blankets hit the spot. Well appointed kitchen with lots of extras. Breakfast superb oats, blueberries, eggs and homemade bread. Very spoilt! Super view to snow covered hills.

Our stay at Omarama
We had the most luxurious stay with Michelle and Neville. The accommodation was to stay nothing but outstanding. The personal touches of home made cookies, bread, overnight oats and fresh eggs from their chooks for our breakfast was very much appreciated. The bed was honestly the most comfortable bed we have ever slept in. Their local knowledge was a great help as well. True value for money and amazing hosts. Thank you once again.

Here for one night only on our way along the a2o. A lovely peaceful roomy restful spot. The homemade Bircher muesli and bread were an extra highlight. Highly recommended

Outstanding Stay
We had a fabulous stay. Great hosts, quality linen and furnishings. The unit has everything you could possibly need, in a lovely setting, including delicious breakfast supplies. Close to everything including the hot tubs and outstanding Pink Glider Restaurant - we recommend going to both. Perfect for those doing the A2O, or just passing through. We would definitely stay again.

Awesome hosts, beautiful setting
Property was stunning, Michelle and Neville were fabulous hosts. Perfect location within walking distance to Omarama township and hot pools, lots to do but as the same time very relaxing! Highly recommend staying for 5 nights. Wish we could’ve stayed longer!

Fantastic getaway
What a great space. Very well appointed accommodation - so beautifully cared for with a taste of luxury and the provisions were just perfect. We really enjoyed the outdoor spaces with stunning views - perfect to laze away the evening over a glass of wine. Michelle and Neville are great hosts too. Really friendly and so helpful with lots of local tips for us. Thanks for the swimming hole info Michelle, we had a lovely afternoon under the willows 🌞😁. We'd happily go back again and certainly recommend for that peaceful getaway where you can relax by the vines or explore an amazing region.

Michelle was in contact as soon as the booking was made to check for any dietary requirements, as she provides quite the delicious spread of breakfast food for you to cook to your liking. (Home made seeded loaf, her own free range eggs, local honey, jam, and oats) The place was absolutely spotless, and very well laid out. Bed was comfortable, pillows were perfect, and the complimentary Whittakers chocolate next to the bed was a welcome midnight snack!!! Place was also very warm (I walked outside to -5). 15/10 would recommend to everyone, il definitely be back! (The homemade loaf is extremely delicious while also filling, learn from my overfull mistake 😂)

Great for one night but not so good for a longer stay. Well equipped, clean and modern accommodation with everything you could possibly need for an overnight stay. Home made bread and fresh eggs provided for first breakfast. However, disappointed that the room was not serviced during our stay of three nights and had to ask for more bread and eggs for breakfast on days two and three. Information prior to arrival not provided as promised.

Excellent overnight stay
We were thrilled with this accommodation; such a warm welcome from Neville and Michelle and a really comfortable, clean modern place to stay. The breakfast was delicious - we hard boiled the eggs and buttered the tasty bread and ate it for our picnic lunch in Geraldine en route for Christchurch airport! The view from the property was beautiful and the road ‘noise’ virtually non existent. Don’t hesitate, just book!

Pretty accomodation and well located enabling to visit lakes and mountains out of the crowd. Only inconvenient is the proximity of the road, mostly in the morning, but Michelle is doing the must!

Thanks Marc for your review. Any road noise is minimized once you are inside the guest house due to the double glazing & up specked insulation, it is very quiet at night.

Michelle was such a lovely host. The property is really close to the clay cliffs and a great spot to further explore Tekapo. The fresh baked bread... to die for. We had the most relaxing and wonderful stay!
