This place is so peaceful… we were able to see all kinds of wildlife my favorite was the bald eagle that came right up to a tree about 200’ away it was majestic one downfall I was uneasy going down the path to water for my ankle but felt more confident with the walking sticks they left behind to use Barbara thought of everything you would need and everything had its own place well organized!!

Anniversary Trip

This was an amazingly perfect place to stay! We loved the walk down to the beach, which was covered in sand dollars and purple shells. The bed was comfortable, and everything we needed was easy to find. It was a very well-thought out little cottage, and will will happily stay here again in the future.

Beautiful Retreat

We spent two nights in this wonderful cottage. It’s a very nice, well maintained and charming place. The hike down to the beach and along the coast was nice. We didn’t kayak because of the wind and tide times, but that is a nice option.

Silent Serenity!

My wife and I have family in the area so this was a perfect location to have our little place of paradise. We were blessed with both beautiful views and wonderful hospitality from Dick and Barbara. Barbara and Dick welcomed us with a clean and organized atmosphere. With attention to details and added amenities like the continental breakfast on the first morning. Our grand kids came for a visit and had a wonderful time on the beachfront! Thank you Dick and Barbara for being apart of our weekend getaway!

Beautiful property!

Wow! What a gorgeous location and adorable cottage! This was such a great location for a weekend getaway with a friend of mine. We enjoyed the quiet of the neighborhood and the stunning views overlooking the water! A quick walk down a path from the property or a short walk over to the state park provide easy access to the water. Dick and Barbara were such wonderful hosts. :) Thank you for sharing your beautiful property with us. We will absolutely be back!

Peaceful, cozy and relaxing

Perfect little cabin for two with an amazing view of the water out the front window. I slept so well on the comfy queen bed. Very homey and comfortable with personal, hospitable touches from the owners who clearly love and care for this property. The hike down to the beach was steep but short and easy to navigate and we were able to walk over to the state park with it's wonderful trails both from the beach and from the street. Amazing how the tiny kitchen had everything we needed, and Dick even brought us some ketchup when we forgot condiments for our hotdogs!

UNFORGETTABLE

As a couple, my spouse and I have stayed in B&Bs in 45 states. While most of those accommodations were fine, and many were lovely, none come close to this Puget Sound cottage. Where to begin: The view was breathtaking, the grounds impeccably landscaped, and the cottage itself was a small space of perfect design. The owners thought of everything and somehow fit it all in seamlessly. The tiny kitchen was well-stocked, the bed was comfy, there was even great water pressure in the (admittedly small) shower. The owners' sensitivity to the value of little creature comforts--soothing music playing upon arrival, food provisions enough for two breakfasts in the fridge, a goodbye basket on the doorstep upon our departure, complete with snacks and souvenirs--reveals just how deeply invested they are in their guests' TOTAL experience. It is as though caring for this exquisite space, AND for those of us lucky enough to share it for a brief time, is a kind of ministry for them. My spouse and I drove away with great reluctance on our last day, marveling over and over to each other, "We are so lucky."

A Setting That Just Breathes Relaxation

Arrived feeling the stresses of daily life, and left 3 days later feeling refreshed and ready for the next round (though sad we had to leave) The refreshment began the moment we pulled into the driveway. The grounds are well kept and give the sense of a peaceful garden. Then you see the view of the expansive Puget Sound with the Olympic Mountains in the distance, and just breathe a sigh of contentment. The quaint cottage is placed on a bluff with a small manicured yard out front. The grassed area is nicely equipped with your own private chairs, a picnic table and a hammock. When you walk inside a large front window gives you an immediate view of the Sound. Found ourselves staring at that view repeatedly. To help with that, the owners have left a pair of binoculars there for you. Nice touch! The place itself is small but cozy, and is just perfect for two people who just want to relax. It is equipped with many well thought out amenities such as welcoming snacks in the kitchen area, books and games to enjoy, kayaks available for your use and a fire pit with wood down near the water's edge. Though we didn't take advantage of the latter two this time, it was nice to have them available. Owners live on the property and are very welcoming and friendly. No worries about privacy though. Though available if you need them, they leave you to enjoy the grounds and are no bother. You feel like it's your place. Don't miss out on a walk in nearby Tolmie State Park and a visit to the Nisqually Nature Reserve. Both add to the relaxation theme. Lots more to share, but overall a winner for us. Definitely coming back!!

Puget Cottage

This is the perfect little cottage for two people. It was quiet and peaceful. My husband and I had a relaxing time and our hosts were delightful. The little kitchenette was perfect! It's a nice little jaunt down to the beach from the cottage and you have the best view of Mount Olympic. I couldn't have found a better place to stay, it was honestly just what we needed.

Great little gem

Had a wonderful few days. Accommodations were perfect for the two of us. I showed off some serious toaster oven skills and the two burner stovetop was just right! Sweet bonus of eggs and muffins was just perfect! So much to explore. Path to the beach is steep but just take your time and grab one of the walking poles and you will be fine. Would recommend and already have! Thank you!
