"The Octant Vila Monte is a beautiful hotel set into the countryside about 4-5 miles from the beach. As soon as we arrived we felt relaxed and peaceful as the hotel, its grounds and our room were presented beautifully. The staff in all areas were so kind, friendly and helpful and went above and beyond to make our stay perfect. The breakfast was outstanding with fresh produce and a stunning view and the hotel restaurant served amazing food each day. The adults only po was t heated but with the sunshine that wasn’t a problem. I borrowed a bike to cycle into the local towns which was a great addition. All in al, highly recommend - we’ll be back as soon as we can!"

"Excellent studio room with kitchen especially for the price. Staff was outstanding in particular Johanna who let us check in early. She provided us with a ton of information about restuarants, sights etc. All staff were extremely friendly and cheerful. The town is nice but we mainly stayed here as we used it as a base to visit other areas nearby. We chose this place because it was without question the best value in the area. It is totally updated, clean, quiet and has a ton of room for a studio suite. It is actually more like a one bedroom apartment as it has a completely separate kitchen and dining area. Highly recommend this place."

"We had a great 3 night stay at Guest Mar. The staff were super friendly and helpful - the breakfast was delicious and it was very handy to be able to use the kitchen throughout the day. Comfortable bed and a good shower. Space was a bit tight in our room, but it was workable. We made use of the shared spaces - rooftop, kitchen and reading room. All in all a lovely guesthouse."

"Villa Dominico is beautifully situated in a quiet location a couple of miles outside the village of Moncarapacho. The property is spacious and comfortable with a large kitchen diner, a big garden including a patio and swimming pool. We stayed in February and took advantage of the south facing veranda to soak up some much needed sunshine. Although the evenings were understandably cool the wood burner provided plenty of warmth for the lounge. The kitchen is well equipped for self catering, though Moncarapacho does host two small supermarkets and several restaurants which while not haute cuisine, provide delicious and reasonably priced food. The Apetit in particular offers excellent Tapas. Nearby Fuseta has an excellent beach and restaurants while Olhao, Tavira and Loule are all nearby and worth visiting. There are a couple of neighbouring properties to the villa but the blissful peace and quiet was never disturbed. Obviously because of its location, a vehicle is a prerequisite. We would happily return to Villa Dominico."

"Nelson and Paula are the most perfect hosts, happy to help but also show respect and privacy. Accommodation is modern, clean and everything one or two people would require. Easy 15 min Uber from Faro Airport. 15 min walk to train station and cheap tickets to Tavira (and Tavira Island with amazing beach)and Fuseta, both a must see. 20 mins brisk walk to front in Olhao. Bus service available but i like to walk. Ferry to one of the islands from Olheo also not to be missed. Olhao is a beautiful fishing town. All in all a beautiful, relaxing holiday.
