This no-frills cottage is the perfect setting for your next vacation. Inside, you'll find a simplistic design with all the amenities of home, along with a rustic wood-burning fireplace and beautiful hardwood floors. Outside, the deck has an unobstructed view of the bay, as well as a private path to the water. Enjoy the professionally maintained buoy, available to hold or moor up to a 22-foot boat. Fishing, crabbing and shrimping are accessible from the beautiful beaches, when in season.

The home is a 7 minute drive from Olga proper, where you can dine at Catkin Cafe or have an adventure at the state park. There are plenty of beaches along the island at Doe Bay or Obstruction Pass Trailhead. There is a free dock and boat launch a mile away from this home.

Great location. Fully equipped kitchen, and comfy beds. The Sat TV does not work but the whole point of our getaway was to get away and reconnect with family, so this does not detract from my view of the stay

Lovely Property and Cottage

The property was absolutely beautiful it was really wonderful to explore the bay in the kayaks that are provided. We ran into the folks that own the property and they were lovely as well, very friendly. The only negative is that the wifi did not work consistently, but that was alright as we were happy to have an unplugged retreat. Looking forward to staying here again!

We loved the peacefulness of the location and the view of the water from the house. Being able to access the peninsula via the wood steps was a plus. And, the location on the island was perfect due to vicinity to Obstruction State Park and Moran State park.

We loved being by the water facing the sun rise, beautiful view! Place was clean and well located. If you’re using one of the single bed mattress, we recommend putting it directly on the floor and not using the base it’s on because it sinks in the middle.

We enjoyed the comfort of the home. The home was well equipped for all we needed. The view was wonderful. The location was a distance from most places we wished to visit. We enjoyed the quietness along with the occasional moos from the cows next door.

Excellent place to see Rosario Strait

The house/cabin is sunny and quite comfortable. Great location, on a farm property which has its own private beach (a short walk down the hill slope). The kitchen, living room, and deck all have a great view of the water - weather ranged from crystal-clear, to misty and mysterious during our stay. Mt. Baker is visible from the front lawn (unfortunately not from the house itself due to some trees). The owners were kind enough to let us use their two kayaks, and we spent many happy hours floating around the bay looking at fish, jellyfish, and a magnificent bald eagle which flew overhead and rested in a big pine tree! A pair of deer browsed their way across the back lawn during our last evening.

Beautiful, quiet, and tranquil

Super sweet views of the water, islands, & sky. Very nice private beach, and peaceful setting. The kitchen is well equipped. Bed was comfortable, couch and chairs were comfortable. The code to the door didn’t work, and after trying it numerous times, we texted Vacasa and they responded with a different code for the lock box which got us in with a key. The light above the stove, under the microwave was burned out, so cooking was dimly lit. I’m sure they will replace the bulb tho. The coffee grinder didn’t work, so we needed to drive to the island market to grind our beans in the morning. I’m guessing they’ll buy a new one soon, or just bring ground coffee. The pots & pans and dishes were great for cooking, and eating as we liked to stay in, especially the day it rained. We will come back, as this is a sweet place to stay!

Serenity and peaceful property

The location of this home was simply perfect. Beautiful water view as well as view of snow covered mountains in the distance. This was our first time to the area and we just fell in love with the whole vibe of the island. The home was well maintained and we couldnt have asked for more. We definitely will be returning.
