The biggest thing for us was the staff. Everyone was so friendly, attentive, and accommodating. Most memorable were Melanie who checked us in and Kyle who took care of us most of the time. We were there for our parents' 50th anniversary and were just blown away by Kyle's warm hospitality, and thoughtfulness throughout our stay. Of course the stream-side property itself was unbelievably charming with beautiful, well-maintained grounds, and our 2-level room just had so much character. We couldn't have had a more comfortable and enjoyable stay, and can't wait to return.

Wonderful room but very small. No TV which was nice but surprising. Room had nice walk out to lawn and creek. Bed was foam, too soft, sunk in the middle.

- Miscommunication (was called by property to ask if I wanted a sofa bed made and was called back a few days later to say the room didn't have a sofa bad and this couldn't be offered)...also phone in room didn't work - Leak from ceiling (brown water) that caused us to pack up and leave early; did not feel like there was a quick response or any resolve for the situation we were put in as a result - Really like the fact that there isa good option in this area but was disappointed with the overall experience

The Olema house is a jewel. Set on a stream, surrounded by a lovely garden and outdoor seating, it does not disappoint. Wine awaits in your room and staff bend over backwards to help with your stay. Trails nearby are excellent and the natural beauty of the place is unbeatable. Restaurant associated with hotel is excellent. I’ll be back!

Wonderful place and staff. Super friendly. Love the homey touches. We will definitely be back. Just wish they had a breakfast buffet available. Roadhouse was a great alternative and just a short drive.

A charming inn, well located for visitors to the Inverness area. We loved the feather pillows, and the excellent shower. The only drawback was the steps up to the bathroom from the bedroom, the design of which was a little hazardous at night from the left side of the bed (room 12).

Great West Marin Vibes!
Amazing West Marin property, and convenient tavern next door. So chill and lovely....perfect spot to use as home base while touring this lovely region of California.

The property was beautiful, the grounds are beautiful, and the rooms are comfortable. The deluxe king room is a bit smaller than expected but ample. There was no TV in our room, so plan accordingly. There is a nice parlor with games and a fireplace and a nice view of the garden. The restaurant next door had delicious food. All in all I highly recommend.

Nice hotel, great staff, beautiful property. The only downside was the daily $25 resort fee, which didn't make sense because it's not a resort (no gym, activities, restaurant, bar, etc.). Apart from that, nice place!

When I booked this property, there is not enough descriptions about the amenities in the room, so we only realized there is NO AC in the room when the temperature reached 100 degrees on that day. Could not stay inside the room during the day, could not sleep during the night with all the fans on. The bed is at the upper level in a loft, which was like an oven without AC. Would never stay there again spending $550 for a room without AC. The back yard was cool in this property, which is the only pros. There is no free breakfast included in the room rate, if you consider this property is like. B&B style.

Anniversary weekend
First time traveling with our dog, and the hotel and restaurant were very accommodating. Nice treats/champagne in our room to celebrate our anniversary. Our suite was very large, but off the main hotel. Would have liked to have known that during booking. Not sure we really had a choice since it was a last minute getaway.

We loved this boutique hotel that was beautifully and tastefully decorated. The staff were very friendly and helpful; they went out of their way to give advice about local places to visit and things to do.

Very nice
Beautiful place to stay in a beautiful area. Clean, comfortable, very friendly staff. Close to Pt Reyes National Seashore. Very good restaurant next door and enough options close by including a good grocery store. There is a very nice garden area in the back with chairs, tables and a fireplace. There is a resort fee but if includes a bottle of local wine. We would definitely recommend and hope to return again someday.

Beautiful hotel and expansive garden. Close to Point Reyes and many hiking trails. Fantastic restaurant just next door. Coffee and tea provided throughout the day, but no breakfast. It can get hot in the summer as AC is lacking in the rooms though.

Room was small, no closet. Bathroom was tiny with separated toilet in another room. Tub had long spigot which got in the way when trying to shower. Spigot end was sharp so we covered it with a towel. No char in room or desk. We were overcharged for the room...$762.00 !!!!!! It was supposed to be $600.00 Will not stay there again!

Olema house was terrific. The rooms were lovely, staff was delightful, the yard down to the creek was the best. Most importantly the restaurant was fabulous. Max the chef was extraordinary….especially his fish stew…worth a stop!!!!!

No elevators so if you can’t climb stairs get a first floor room. Sits right on hwy 1 so some street noise. Can hear other guests frequently so if you want peace and quiet not the place. Does not include breakfast which most stays include in this price range. Close to the park. Bottom line over priced. All in we paid $700 plus a night. It’s a $300-$350 kind of place. We are spending 7 nights on the coast and this was the most expensive. But got way more for the money in other stays. Not a lot of options in this area.

This was our first trip to Pt Reyes, this location recommended by a friend. Ideal location on CA-1 located 1 block from the entrance to the Pt Reyes Park entrance. Very nice amenities, very clean, nice restaurant and market directly next door. Like most areas on CA-1 north of SF, it is isolated, but it appeared to be the nicest lodging we saw between Sausalito and Mendocino. And we were looking to get out of the city environment for a weekend.

Charming hotel in a beautiful location. The staff are friendly and helpful. Decor is cozy and on-trend. Dining options at the hotel are convenient and offer good food with vegan and vegetarian options. Pt Reyes is my happy place and Olema House is my new go-to hotel.
