Cavan Crystal Hotel

8/10 Good

"The breakfast was continental and you order hot food, it was tasty. My daughter loves there American style pancakes and maple syrup. We got checked in early as it was bank holiday and the pool was closing at 6pm so give us plenty of time to use the facilities. We took an early breakfast to use the pool but it was closed for 45mins due to the pool having a water aerobics session. But we got in for about 45mins minutes after they finished. The restaurant/bar was tasty my daughter got the child's fish goujons and I had the seafood chowder with fresh western bread it was so good. Accross the road is a shopping centre to have a nosy in but not much else around that we seen. The room was clean and had everything we needed. There was kids constantly running about outside the room but by 9pm they quietened down.parkomg was easy and efficient."

Newgrange Hotel

10/10 Excellent

"Parking is Very very very very tight, like the ramps are tight. There’s plenty of parking though, once you squeeze in. The hotel is lovely, the staff are very helpful, the breakfast is GREAT, and I like how they styled it as a fancy upscale place. But it’s clearly for families. Shower on the 5th floor was clearly my punishment for past sins because it would go from scalding to freezing over and over without changing the faucet. At 6 am. Expedia description of the hotel says it has a pool/splash room. It absolutely does not. I asked, but also where would it go? My daughter was disappointed. Not the hotel’s fault at all though."

Cabra Castle Hotel

10/10 Excellent

"We stayed at Cabra Castle for a wedding and had such a wonderful experience! The castle and grounds are absolutely beautiful, and the whole experience felt like stepping into a fairytale. There is something so special about staying in a real castle! We thoroughly enjoyed our time here, and it was the perfect setting for a beautiful wedding. Such a memorable stay!"

Castle Arch Hotel

10/10 Excellent

"I stayed here 32 years ago when it was called The Wellington next door to Atlantic 252 where I was to work. I revisited in October 2026, the member of staff upon my arrival was warm, friendly, and welcoming. The gentleman behind the bar fantastic. Room functional and clean, the breakfast fantastic. The restaurant staff inviting and friendly. The check out lacked warmth, friendliness, no smile, abrupt as though I was an inconvenience, and when I asked where is the bus stop now for the Dublin service you would have thought I'd asked them to explain Quantum Field Physics - they went into orbit!! Would I stay again may be. Compared to 1994 there are far more options available."

Castle Varagh Hotel & Bar

10/10 Excellent

"Street parking right in front was very convenient and free. You're right in the middle of a square, so there's lots of pubs and convenience stores within walking distance. The hotel was lovely and the room was really nice. The bed was very comfortable. The room was cold when we arrived, but warmed up in no time once we turned up the radiator. Friendly staff as well. My only upset was that breakfast didn't start until 9am and we had to leave by 8am, so we lost out on that unfortunately."

Annebrook House Hotel

10/10 Excellent

"The staff was wonderful! Dinner and breakfast were perfect. However, the bathroom was another story. It was pretty evident there was an ongoing problem with a water leak. The water from the shower soaked the floor and rotted away the framing on the bathroom door and mold was evident as a result of not being dealt with overtime. Very disappointing! ☹️"

Renovated farmhouse rural setting,1km from Co Meath village

10/10 Excellent

"We had a wonderful stay at Glenboy! The house was big, roomy, and very comfortable for our group, with plenty of bathrooms, which was a huge plus. The location was great and gave us easy access to so many things to see and do within driving distance. What really made our stay special, though, was our host. They were absolutely phenomenal—always willing to help, quick to offer recommendations, and incredibly kind throughout our stay. They even went above and beyond to help us connect with and find members of our Irish family, which made our trip even more meaningful and memorable. We truly enjoyed our time at Glenboy and would absolutely recommend it to anyone looking for a spacious, comfortable place to stay while exploring this beautiful part of Ireland. We would happily stay here again!"
