"Hotel Kostis was great value and overall perfect for what we needed. It’s a basic hotel room, no bells or whistles, but the location is perfect, right in the core of all the shops and restaurants. The staff and owner are wonderful, friendly, helpful, and kind. The hotel is clean and cute, if a tad dated, but for the price and location I would not complain at all. We were in Skiathos for the end of summer stormy weather, so, there wasn’t a lot to do indoors and being shoulder season. But overall our stay was very pleasant and the hotel is cute and affordable. Would definitely recommend and stay there again. "
"The property itself is average but the check in process is just awful. First, the real location is absolutely nowhere near where they’ve listed as their address, making it difficult to find the property. It is much further from the port and beach than advertised. Next, there is no front desk or staff on site, but rather they request you let them know when you will arrive so the staff can be there to check you in. I told them well in advance when I would be arriving, however no staff was there when I arrived. After around 10 minutes of knocking at the locked front door, I sent a text asking to be let in, and received a rude response saying that no staff was there so of course I was not being let in, as if I should have known to text them upon arrival when that had never been indicated to me. After another 20 minutes of waiting, a blonde woman arrived and was extremely rude and short with me throughout the check in process. Overall there are definitely much better options in Skiathos that will be significantly less of a hassle. "
