"great valiue place Sunday to Wednesday in this very remote loaction of Portugal - there is not so much to do, good Restaurants are rare but the hotel offers indoor and outdoor pool, Hamam and quite good breakfast selection (included in all rates)
Downside: even it's so remote they try to charge 7,5€/day for parking - very strange way to collect extra money (would be easier in pool towels rental or breakfast extra) as outside in the streets it's free of charge...."

"The hotel is bread and butter. What you see is what you get… and I love it! We arrived early and the receptionist let us go to the room as it was ready, which is always a great touch. The room was the right size — no frills, just what we needed. The location was perfect: a mere 10-minute walk to the port/sea. The cafe on the main floor was excellent and offered a great option for breakfast as well. The 6th floor rooms have pretty water views but the floor above is the buffet room so quite noisy early in the morning. Rooms are basic but have everything you need. Staff is outstanding. No gym on the property but they offer a pass to a nearby gym which is very good."
"Very pleasant, clean and low stress place to stay while hiking the caminho. A little off the caminho trail but there is a well maintained hike and bike path from the center of Valença that will take you right to Alma Candida. Breakfast is very good too. "
